I don't think you can extend that behavior through Valentine's Day. Right after January 1, there are a ton of motivated singles out there looking to start something new. A lot of people just went through a miserable holiday season in November-December with a ton of couples centric gatherings. Additionally, some are feeling the sting of not having anyone to kiss when the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve/New Year Day. Activity on the swipe apps always picks up in January with the new year motivated singles. In the real world, some of these motivated singles can be found via stranger approaching too, though it's more difficult through random approaching in non-bar venues to find these motivated singles in January coming off of a crappy holiday season of gatherings.
There are so many holidays that come up that have social circle gatherings and strong romantic connotations that come up incessantly for 3 months from November to mid-February. I count 5 such occasions in less than 3 months.
