Hmm oneitis... weird.

So have an inkling oneitis for a chick I KNOW doesn't want me..

If this were anyother broad, for some reason Id just do the normal routine and have no problem getting play ect.

For some reason because I actually kinda dig this chick I can't bring myself to use DJ techniques.

How can I get rid of this BS?

I went on a date with her, she knew it was a date.

She kept tossing redflags Like I don't wanna be with anyone now..

If I made any contact she kinda pulled away really fast.

and the end of the night She got out of the car for a hug and an Kissed her cheek, but I kinda flipped cause I hit her ear instead, and pulled away too fast I think.

But I stil talk to her and she was saying how great a time she had and how we should go out again...

Then when I see her at shows/concerts she really doesn't seem intersted in conversation..


Then she gets ahold of me later and asks why don't I talk to her... I think she may be crazy.

OMG dude! That same thing happened to me. I didn't have the oneitis, but that sounds just like a girl I went out with once. In the middle of the date, we were talking and she says "This isn't a date, right? I mean, we're just hanging out." I was like "Um..... yea, I think it is." She went on talking about what we were saying before.

She never got close to me during the whole thing. We were walking thru the parking lot, and a car was coming toward us, so I put my arm around her and headed off to the left. She went to go right, but then came with me because I was holding onto her. Then when the car was gone, she put that space between us again. At the end of the night, all I got was a hug. A side-hug, at that, with just one arm. Go figure.

Then everytime I talked to her after that, she went on and on about how much fun she had, and that we should definately do it again, soon. So, I believed what she said and tried to plan another date. It never came to pass.

She still calls me sometimes, and we talk about stuff. She says that we need to hang out again, and more often. I agree, but then I suggest something to do, and she has to work. Recently, she told me she got fired, so she should have lots more free time, but I'm not holding my breath for her. I say she's just a high school girl that doesn't know what she wants. Whatever.

In both the cases above (HalfAddict and Ace of Flames), the chick is using the guy for attention, even though she has lost interest.

Here are three key steps to get over oneitis:

One is not seeing the chick and cutting off all contact with her. You may find that tough at first, but it's important. If you can't avoid bumping into her for some reason, say hello be courteous and be on your way. Time is your friend, but you can do more than just wait for your feelings to fade.

Secondly, when your oneitis chick comes into your thoughts, you need to immediately STOP thinking about her. Really, everytime she comes into your head think about something else or do some activity. The more you think about her the more ingrained the feelings become and it delays letting them fade.

Thirdly, you need to get more prospects into your life. It's said here time and time again, but whatever it takes just get talking to some other chicks. Great time to take up the approach challenge (approach 10 chicks a day and ask for their number).

The fact is that with a chick who has either lost interest or you've played it badly enough with, the most logical and practical thing to do is NEXT them. There are plenty of other chicks who would be THRILLED to have you talk to them or interested in them.

One-itis is a bad disease to have - being hostage to another person's actions and desires is a miserable situation. Once you're over it you will feel a massive weight off your shoulders, in fact like the world is your oyster. You will wonder what you ever saw in this chick. It can only get better from having oneitis.

yeh i kno.. one itis sucks...

ive had it once last year and know i think im starting to get it with this other chick..

see she rejected me lyke a month ago after we made out... so a few nights b4 i kissed this other girl, and then her friends tell me that she still lykes me and she was crying.. so i we talked... made out.. tells me she broke up with his bf for me...and then she tells me she doesnt know if she wants a relationship..

guess its time to next huh? im planning on telling her if she wants it or not.. if she says no im just gonna cut all contact with her.. i dont wanna get hurt
