"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Basically I might hang out with my friend tonight and we're going to a party where basically I won't know anyone there. I'm kinda nervous about it but at the same time, I'd imagine that this is a good chance for me to become more social (since I'm usually shy about meeting new people and I need to get out of my shell in time for the new school year so I can finally start getting some ass) and, well, meet new people. The problem is, I need some help as to how to meet new people. I'm sure my friend will introduce me, but after I say my name, where i go to school (I'm almost 17 btw), and shyt, what else is there? What else can I say to not be the awkward guy who just says hi and nothing else? Is there a thread that can help people out at parties as to what to do if you hardly know anyone there?

Thanks for your advice guys, I really appriciate it.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Your basically saying you don't have any social skills at all. So the long term solution is to improve your social skills which is done by going out and talking to people you don't know. Your short term solution for tonight is going there, getting drunk and having fun and bringing other people into it.

Well I have social skills, just not when it comes to complete strangers, and to be honest I sort of exaggerated my post a little bit so I'd hopefully get a more indepth responce for tips and such. I'm not some socially inept kid, but at the same time I'm shy around new people.
