In the ESPN 30 or 30 documentary, they go into great detail about how Walker was insulted and beat up as a kid. Watch the video from the documentary, and they show a school that was 100% white with Walker being the only black kid. This was in Wrightsville, GA.

Quick look at census.gov shows the % of white and black to be about half and half.

What message are they sending again here? My guess is that Walker was bullied more by his fellow blacks than whites. But that wouldn't play into the poor pitiful race card.

All I ask is that people are aware of this, and/or wake up to the reality of media brainwashing.

Even if it was by town, if Wrightsville is anything like Macon, where I lived, then all the white people live on one side of the town and all the black people the other side. My former wife taught at a high school that was 99% black. That was over ten years ago. I just looked them up again and it hasn't changed: African American (99.2%), Hispanic (0.4%), White (0.3%)

The media skewed the reality. It is what it is. Ask yourself what their motivation is.

You might be right, but we'd need the data from 1976-79 to be sure. Some districts have undergone massive re-zoning and busing plans.

Maybe, but I doubt it, especially at a small county school like that. Those haven't seen much population shifts.
