"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Ok, heres the deal. I have been with this girl since the 9th grade. Its coming up on 7 years. She is the only girl I have ever had sex with. I have had a few chances at other girls but my guilty conscience would get the best of me. I am 21 years old and I have been feeling differently about this girl than before. This has been going on for a couple years I guess since I started college. I really don't have that much fun with her anymore. This girl loves me to death and wants to spend the rest of her life with me but I'm not sure what I want to do. I have never been with anyone else except for her.
We did break up a couple summers ago b/c I was neglecting her and we weren't getting along. I dated this one girl and we fooled around but she wouldn't have sex with me. Well, the X and I got back together after a few months but its back to the same way it was. I just want to experience the single life and go out with other girls and not be committed. I also do not want to hurt her. I am comfortable with her but I guess I'm not in love with her like I used to be. It has changed. Now I am getting a new job and moving and she wants to spend the summer with me and move in. We have never lived together. She has one more year of school and I'm done in May. So after next year she will be wanting to move in full time.
I have found myself in situations where I start to fool around with a girl but I don't go all the way. I used to never be like that but I am changing. I would like to know how it is to be with other girls. The only bad thing is the dry periods when I have no girl to hang out with.

What do you guys make of this?

This has been on my mind for a few months or maybe even a year now. I know its not fair to her. Its one of those relationshipes where both of our parents think we are going to get married. I am pretty confused.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Make a list of all the criteria you look for in a good woman. Make sure "disinterested in me" isn't one of them. Then analyze the situation logically.

imo, if you've gotten along this long then it sounds like a pretty good thing, but what do I know

Off course you don't love her, I mean just look at how little you appreciate this girl. All you're thinking about is experiencing the "single-life", instead of what's really right and selfless. A 7 year relationship is quite a thing, especially if it lasted over your teen years. I mean, you've both seen each other go through so many stages of pubirty, so you're both used to change and growth in your relationship. I wouldn't encourage you to break up.

My friend, love is a verb. You won't ever feel "Love the feeling" unless you do "love the action". So just love her, man. Appreciate her, fvck her like there's no tomorrow, encourage her, dominate her... whatever. You know how you love best. :)
