There have been several things that have popped up in my life and it's looking like I may seriously be considering a change. I was considering the Phoenix metro area but it's just so crowded there and with all of the traffic and bustling around it reminds me of where I grew up, which is the reason I wanted to leave. I really like the desert climate and there are tons of activities that I could do in Vegas, outdoor activities are bountiful and there for sure are plenty of more social activities as well.

The things you don’t like about in Phoenix will be present in Las Vegas. Las Vegas has bad traffic & has experienced a ton of growth in the last 30-40 years, just like Phoenix.

It’s unclear if your life would improve by moving to either Phoenix or Las Vegas. Moving from one area of 150,000+ population to another to improve mating outcomes rarely works without significantly improving your own inner game.

I'm not looking to move there because of the dating scene.

I was in Vegas during new years, Everytime I go there I never want to leave.
Pros : beautiful desert scenery
Beautiful Woman coming and going for events ,holidays
Last time I checked the rent wasn't that bad
24 hrs liquor store and sex shop
Low priced tattoos
Historical mob museum and other historical interesting places
Nightlife 24/7 , it hasn't slowed down even within the last 10 years

Cons: the Asians , they don't seem to be very welcome .
Notorious gang life in Vegas has gotten worse, also.
There's seems to be a drug problem in the north metro area as well

I'm honestly looking at living in one of the nicer areas on the west/northwest side of town near the mountains, so well away from the rough areas there. I'm really into outdoor activities, I live in a different type of desert and I love hiking, star gazing, etc. I also recently got into poker, not an addict but I win more than I lose. I'm also factoring in just the sheer number of activities and things that I could do that I currently don't have access to.

Vegas is a bizarre place to live. I haven't lived there myself but I almost moved there and I had a friend that still lives there and a cousin who moved away. They both like it, but with caveats.

On the downsides:
summer months are like the winter elsewhere. You stay indoors because it's too damn hot to do anything.
The scene is full of posers. Most of the men that live there are dude bros and an amateur poker player looking to make it big.
The city is dominated by the casinos, there isn't much work outside the casinos. This is the reason I didn't move there.
Water future for the city is iffy with how the lake levels are dropping.

Upsides:
Great outdoor activities
lots of options for one-night stands with the out of town hotties.
It's isolated, but it's close to all the cool stuff in Utah and flights out of there are cheap.
It's a fun city.

I honestly wasn't looking to make this a long term move, I was thinking 6 months to a year or so. I currently live in AZ so the summer months being indoor months is nothing new to me, though it took me a while to get acclimated to it when I first move out here and into this type of climate.

The scene being full of posers doesn't really deter me, that's the case for where I live and the Phoenix/Scottsdale scene, and not really a factor. I'm primarily interested in outdoor activities and entertainment is plentiful there. As I mentioned, I play poker regularly where I'm at and win more than I lose but I don't have these delusions of making it big lol, I can and have done that by just investing.

If you like the mountains and hiking activities then you will love it there , it's breathtaking.
I'm not bothered by the heat so the brighter the better , just makes it look even more beautiful.
There's tons of historical places to visit I'm planning on moving there myself , they have a Randstad agency , they will find you a job and if you perform well it will become permanent.

It's similar where I'm living now with the mountains and desert but the social scene is heavily lacking where I'm at and I'm kind of in a rut. I've honestly had nothing but bad social experiences where I'm at, both with dating women and trying to make male friends, and I have accepted that this won't change if I stay where I'm currently at. The only reason I'm still here is due to financial reasons, I'm currently crushing it, and because I have access to awesome hiking within a short drive of where I live. As for work, I can easily land some side gigs and I have enough money to work with where I could be comfortable for quite a long time if I keep my lifestyle in check.

That's true.

There are plenty of casinos on the Native American reservations that are adjacent to Phoenix. So casinos are not a reason to go to Las Vegas.

Both cities will have water supply issues in forthcoming years.

You might have done everything you can in your current city and need to go elsewhere, regardless of dating. You are having issues with male friends there too. It seems like work is a non-factor in all of this. Work and employment was a major factor in my last relocation.

Yes, the options for one night stands are more plentiful in Las Vegas than they would be in Phoenix if he moved there. Although Phoenix gets plenty of tourism, tourism to Phoenix is much different than Las Vegas tourism. There is some solid nightlife in the Phoenix area but it's not the same as Las Vegas. In Las Vegas, there are women who go to Las Vegas to have 1-2 nights of wild random sex.

I'm sure there are plenty of Las Vegas local men who frequent The Strip area for women who are drunk and looking to have a "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" sex night.

I lived there for a few months over 20 years ago.

Hugh Hefner had a birthday/promo event at the MGM while I was there, but I didn’t go because tickets were $100.

I made acquaintances in a relatively short time and enjoyed the night life. The mountains and sunsets were great too.

I would recommend it, especially if you think the climate suits you and you’re interested in the city’s history.

Some parts are really sketchy. I remember a noticeable difference between downtown and the strip. Definitely an international city.

The air is really dry and there are sand storms. Also a lot of weirdos.

I'm not necessarily looking to make this a long term thing but I feel a new experience may really be what I need.

A while ago I accepted that nothing will change for me socially where I'm at, so I used it as an excuse to pursue my wealth goals, which I worked aggressively towards this past couple years. I was at a place recently where I was telling myself that I was willing to sacrifice my personal happiness and emotional well being for the next 2-5 years to attain my wealth/lifestyle goals, whilst remaining where I'm at. However, I was also having some issues with fully accepting this and I noticed that this is when I started experiencing a lot of negative emotions, stress, etc. I had a dream a few weeks ago that was telling me in a voice that "nothing will change if you stay here".

Though this isn't the reason why I'm considering moving there, I genuinely believe that a city like Las Vegas would provide ample opportunity to meet women and actually practice game. Where I'm currently located the opportunity for that is very limited, which was one of the reasons I totally gave up back in 2019. It may be what I need to get me out of my comfort zone.

I'm going to be living in a wealthier part of town so that wouldn't be an issue. With the weirdos are you referring to locals or just crazy homeless people, as I know that there is a big issue with that, though also very bad where I'm currently located.

Homeless, transients, grifters, gamblers, hookers. The free escort magazines are great.

I was on a low budget and lived near the less desirable hotels and casinos. I bet being in a wealthy neighborhood would be different.

There are very extravagant pool parties with hot women and tv crews. Always some kind of big time party/sports event/premier

With things getting back to normal it’s probably good time to go.

Some cool spots are near kind of sketchy areas so you’ll probably encounter it at night if you go to bars/clubs.

Atomic Liquor is a cool bar
