Have any of you guys on here ever decided that chasing after women just isnt worth all the **** and just given up? If so, what happened?

This summer, I stopped trying, I LET it happen. I stopped externalizing all the PUA stuff and finally began to internalize some of it, incorporate it as a natural part of my personality.
I don’t come on here bragging about how much tang I bag. Why brag about something that is as natural as taking a piss? The danger of all the “techniques”, the supreme focus on women is it gives the process of getting women way too much power and emphasis. Getting women is not a mountain to climb, a goal, nor, even an accomplishment.
So, don’t give up, just stop trying so much.

I'm just more selective about the type of woman I engage. Just having tits isn't a good enough reason for me to engage a woman.

lost 35 pounds.

became indestructable as i realized that nothing in this world can knock me down but me.
now i KNOW that IM the prize and that women have to live up to MY standards and am totally unconcerned with what any woman thinks about me - she has to worry what i think of her.

i have, in pursuit of becoming "that guy". ever notice at a party or a get together there is always a bunch of hot girls around and all the guys oogle and aww when the chicks walk by and she knows almost all of the guys are checking her out except "that guy". that guy is always just having a beer and having a great laugh about something in the past or talking about the fish he caught or something he's going to do in the next few years and women to him seem not to matter. as long as he's having a goodtime thats all that matters to him. eventually through the night the girls become interested in the mysterious guy who could care less about them. once the booze kicks in and the girls become less shy they approach him and at the end of the night he seems to nail one.
"that guy" lives for himself and women are just an added bonus. he's the type of guy that isn't complaining that he's single or desperate. everyday is an adventure and if your lucky you can come for the ride.
thats when women will enter the picture. once the desperation subsides and jealousy that your friends are getting laid and your not, leaves your soul. then you will feel great.

I have been on extended hiatus since I came back from a (horrible) 1 month trip to Australia approximately 2yrs ago. Of the relationships (or lack there of) I've had, none amounted to anything (not even having a FB). I was angry for quite a while and while I'm not as angry as I was, the end result is I am generally uninterested and skeptical of woman. I've been focusing on my sportscar club stuff and automotive related interests. The last woman that I had been talking with (coffee dates nothing more) off and on stopped calling me about 3 months ago. She pulled the same thing last year and I was dumb enough to give her the time of day this time.dr_devious said:

Other than that, I haven't been seriously pursuing anyone nor losing a lot of sleep about it.
Joining this sportscar club has alllowed me to do some solo2 driving, hang out with some likeminded motorheads and let me keep most of my sanity [edit]and having a heck of a lot of fun competing against myself and improving my driving[/edit].

I made this post last night on a bit of a downer. Thanks for the advice guys, good to see others taking a more positive attitude than me.
I went on a double date last week, my friend and his g/f, and a woman he works with. My date was a bit of a minger, but his lady is a real cutie who I really fancied. I got the other ones digits, but decided not to follow up. Im sick of attracting the wrong ones i.e. fat, ugly or just plain wierd. Do any of you guys have this problem?

When you become the guy of your dreams, the girl of your dreams will follow. So I have to disagree with that. Sure it requires some serieus inner work, but once you improve yourself women aren't that hard to get.
That's why you should never quit, your life will fall down tight with it.

I tried to take a couple of years off from dating. I have been focusing on getting my degree, getting my life in order, getting healthy again, all that crap... I've also been learning about and focusing on the art of pick-up, just getting the basics down cold, and I tell you what, chixdiggit.
I haven't done much dating, but I have been getting laid, if that makes sense. Some of my exes and old girlfriends have run into me too, and they seem to like it enough to make up for the way they left me. It has done a lot to get my head straight, even if I didn't get away from them for all of this time.
It was a voluntary decision to clean all the b!tches out of my life while I am in school, and it is one that I have reconsidered about a hundred times, but I'd honestly get no pu$$y than the stuff that is bad for me; and I may be fat, nasty, and old, but it seems like this game is played by people a lot worse than I am.
Anyhoo, I'm not saying it's easy, but it can be what you need to do sometimes. Two months left until I get that degree... Then I'll know if it's all been worthwhile. :trouble:
