While it might be true for that particular harridan, it's not true for women 50+ in general.

Women 50+ in general have never been in more demand. There are plenty of stories in recent years about women 50+ going to Match, OurTime, and even swipe apps and having a ridiculous abundance of options. There are 50+ women who have dated in the last 10-15 years who have had more male options than they had in their teens/20s in the pre-internet/early internet eras. Tech methods are great for bailing out older women.

It's common for older women (even as young as 30s/40s women) to barely get acknowledged in real life but have hundreds of men chasing them once they put up their dating app or dating website profile.

Women 50+ can meet plenty of men 50+ even in real life, but they won't be able to match the abundance they'd get from a tech method.

I just found out my therapist was 50, i thought she was mid 40's, i would break her in half, i never have hooked up with a woman her age and it seems exciting to me. when i was 21 i hooked up with an airline attendant that was 10 years older than me, that was a good time.
