"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

There's this girl that I've been talking to for a while now. At the beginning I could tell that she liked me, but I never got to hang out with her at that time. I finally did later, but I screwed it up (long story, basically I was invited to go to this fair with her and her friends but I had a lot to do that day and showed up really late). Nowadays it's hard to read her interest level. She'll look at me in class and everything, sometimes start the conversation. But then sometimes the conversation'll go sour. I try to initiate kino, most of the time I get a positive response, sometimes it won't be negative, but, I don't know, it's hard to explain. One time I tried to get closer (I didn't try to get a kiss, but like hold her and I got a negative response) I don't really kino this girl much. I can't do it in class, and that's basically the only time I see her. I haven't hugged her in a while. Like I said, it's hard to explain, but I feel like she's attracted, but at the same time distant. She's also said that I could come to places with her. Her birthday was yesterday (which I didn't know), and she said she didn't know if she was gonna have a party, but if she did I was invited. I don't know. How should I deal with a chick that's hard to read? Please don't tell me I'm in the friend zone...

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Man , why dont you just try to talk with her? I don't see another solution here.In my opinion the most difficult situations are resolved with the easiest decisions. Ask her directly to go out for a coffee and if she accepts its ok, if not - just walk away. I think you dont have to waste time for this story.

Ask. Her. Out.

Get the date, build that platform, then work off that. Take her out of the regular "see you in class" zone, and into one where it is your sole purpose to step it up with her.

Again, ask her out.
