"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Ok, some of you may know I'm from a small town so my options for women are slim, especially during winter when I can't drive around as freely. I KNOW I shouldn't date "work chicks" and I won't in the future, but I have very few other options.

Heres my dilemma..

I really like someone from work and have been getting good body language. I've been getting GREAT kino - playing thumb wrestling, "hand smack" games, I can grab her waist and get a hug without getting a slap, sometimes she comes and hugs me from behind, pressing her boobs hard into my back, lets me touch her hair etc etc.

We are hanging out this week, the day is undetermined, and I am worried about what happens if I am rejected when I "make my move". I would be sooo embarrased if she told anyone of her girlfriends at work, and she talks alot so...I'm nervous. My inner afc won't shut his f***ing mouth. My world at work, would be ruined if she rejects me...

Help. I really don't know if I should go ahead and make my moves on this one...

And if I even make a move how would I deal with the rejection at work etc?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

You're in a tough place.

Rejection is the least of your problems.

I've been rejected so much since coming to SS I should sue. Actually i pride myself on the rejections, it means I'm puttin' out there and making an investment in myself.

Your problem is that you need to walk gingerly and find out if you, her, and the situation is a "go' for a hookup and beyond, which means you risk LJBF by being deliberate and taking your time.

Better to risk losing her and moving on to a new girl if it's not a good situation. The alternative, a work nightmare, is not worth it.

Take it from me man, tread somewhat quick if you can. I just recently went from AFC to aspiring DJ and I had a work crush that I drifted on too long with and though I think it had some potential of working out...being AFC screwed things up. I should have just "not cared" in the beginning, but I did...and it screwed me up.

But you live, learn...and try again...BETTER.

You can always get drunk and use alcohol as an excuse if things go badly. However, take it from a guy who's had his fair share of rejections...it's not that big of a deal. It's only a big deal because most people make it a big deal in their head.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

The absolute worst-case scenario is that she harshly rejects you and then tells her friends and her friends all make fun of you at work. That's really the worst thing that could happen.

HOWEVER, this is also highly unlikely to affect you. If her friends make fun of you for instance, you can just ask them to stop and if they don't, tell a manager or superivisor that they're harassing you.

Even if she rejects your advances, this only increases your chances of hooking up with her -- she could very well change her mind, ESPECIALLY if you react in a way that proves you are a real man.

Also, keep in mind that it's better to move too fast than to move too slowly. It's much easier to recover from a rejected kiss than an LJBF.
