Most clippers go to a #5,#7's getting up there.

Thats sad I could guess your gender by just seeing your hair.. Seriously it looks like your turnign into medusa. Your porto rican and I don't know bout your area so maybe its cool there. But where i'm used to hot girls wouldn't pay attention. By the way. also where I'm from. Sadly being a minority pretty much put you as a loser. So you don't want to look mexican. Although there are some cool mexicans and chinese. Mainly its the whites. Sorry.

I just would never do hair like that. You could probably go with a ceaser.(an inch to an inch and a half bangs it either #1 or two sides.) That would make you look better. if you put some pomade chunk in it. If you really wanted to look good. I'd recomend growing out your hair surfer style and dying it dirty blonde. I dunno if curls like that workwhere you are though I'd say keep them

No offense, but I don't want to sell myself out and dye my hair to try to look like Jeff Spicoli from 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'. I ain't no wannbe whiteboy. First off I used to live in Kansas. Sencond, I said if it works where you are then you should continue. NO were I used to live it was not racist. Simply women PREFERRED white boys. they still hung out with ricans,INDIANS, and blacks, ect.

When I used to live in kansas there were Indians. too. From your facial structure you do look Indian. Though your hair does remind me of somehting mexican. I was stating what I thought would lok good. I never said hair like that wouldn't get you girls. I said in my area. (the Midwest) I've noticed girls like longer hair. Even when I lived in very diverse towns I noticed the same.

Alright, enough of this beef nonsense, back to hair style thread.



I like to experiment with my hair once in awhile, you know, same thing gets boring sometimes.. i've used sumotech's pomade- TOO EXPENSIVE (about $20) and i got negative responses, such as 'did you put machine oil in your hair? Did you wash your hair this week?)

I've used gel, I WOULD SUGGEST AVOIDING GEL. First, almost every single man with no clue in hair style uses gel... second, every single teen uses the same dumb trick - slick all over, sprike the front up.. and gel looks like your hair is wet.. and it gives you what i call "the plastic effect" -try running your hand through heavily gel'd hair and you'll see what im talking about.
Gel, however, does offer some positive things- it is very simple and strong..making it quick to use if you are out of time.

Right now i am using fructis style putty gum putty. It was $3 at walmart, it looks like green putty gel, and works for me at the moment.


About hair styles- i like the messy hair look, some people might give you **** like you are trying too hard - but dont worry about em..

I've done a mohawk once- when my roommates mom was coming over to visit him in college, and wanted to take us out to dinner to TGI fridays... hahaha, yeah, put a lot of gel in your hair, and style your hair up and together with both palms... takes some time to wash all that creativity out tho..

I'm with you. Some of the more expensive gels and spike ices don't seem to match the cheap pomades and stuff.

I've never really used fructus though I've seen it.
But have you noticed that the cheaper pomades have better smells then a lot of the more expensive ones?

this one smells really good. sumotech's didnt smell like anything, it was just white, some of just like cream..with no taste/smell.

I did try there shampoo. That smelled pretty good.

The best smelling one to me is citre` shine. It smells like oranges. citrusy. Pretty good stuff to. it's like 3-4 dollars. theres two of them. One that makes your hair chunky and glossing.
Glossing smells better.

Oh hell ya, guys. I'm all about the 'Frutis' brand by L'Oreal. I have their hair gel, hair spray, pomade, and shampoo. I'm like completely loyal to that brand - smells VERY GOOD, has a good strong hold, and is cheap! What more can you ask for?

I went to buy bedhead manipulator and the sales woman told me it also greases my hair(or makes look wet).WTF?She told me there is no product to hold my hair but not make it look wet or greasy.

how should i gel this? I use **** products like u can get @ the dollar store lol.

i heard if u want to get a good hairstyle that sort of makes your hairs stick together, you should style it when your hair is wet. If you want a dryer look, gel it when its dry. I personally like the dry look, but my hair is very rough, and sort of looks like needles on a porcupine when they arent gelled, and are dry.

I've been really trying forever to get that sort of hair, but never been able to because my barber always cuts my hair like the top of an umbrella or a mushroom the shape. so my back and sides grow unevenly.

Get a Citrus' Shine High Gloss Pomade. Those should be able to get you that look. and there only a few bucks.
