"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

For the past several years, I worked at a job where we had a gym inside the facility, so I kept my nose clean and only talked to friends and coworkers I already knew during workouts. But this month, I changed jobs and am using a public gym. And lucky for me, this gym has its fair share of HBs.

While my workouts are intense (I'm not walking around smiling at everyone) and my primary objective is keeping in shape, getting to know the HB8 next to me on the treadmill or the HB9 in front of me on the squat rack could be a good thing. My question to you is, how long should I be a familiar face at the gym before approaching them doesn't make me look like a creep? Ideally, they see me there every day and say hi or smile, but us guys are almost always the ones who make the first move.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I would have different approach to Cola but I do have the same philosophy.

Gym is like Work... you are there for yourself only and build yourself and futur... so you have to be approached!

However, depending on your gym setting... mine has a lounge where you can have breakfast, diner, lunch etc... in a cool setting and close to the outside pools etc... perfect to socialize.

So if you see a girl there I would approach her, in a friendly matter
Same for the guy (create a gym community)

Back to OP.... in the gym.. often I've complimented the girls on their skills or intense workout (stuff that even I wouldnt be able to do it)... I just nicely compliment and let it go... if a conversation emerge good. On around ew approach in 4 years AT THE GYM ground working out.. i've made 2 friends (girls) with whom I am going out at the Gym Gala

Never had a desire to ''seduce'' at the gym... but you shouldn't prevent it from complimenting and creating a social group

Every single girl at my gym is there with a guy. Even the fat ones, who are getting trained by jacked guys.

The gym is almost as bad as OLD. The only way I'd approach is if I was at a yoga class at the gym and it was 90% women.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I would agree with others. I don't have a "no approach" rule, but I am certainly not going to put in any effort. Then if you do hook up with a girl, and it goes awry, you might lose the desire to go to your favorite gym. Ever heard of the "don't $hit where you eat" saying?

You are there for yourself, so keep it that way.

Appreciate the feedback. I agree with the points made here, but like Von said, I'm always open to expanding my social circle (what is a Gym Gala???). I'm pretty locked in on my workouts and am usually all sore/sweaty by the time it's over. I've been at this gym for under three weeks and haven't really spoken to anybody.

Honestly, I wouldn't feel comfortable approaching girls mid-workout at the gym. The type I would be into are locked in on their workouts too. Perhaps if one is next to me and we're both done with our sets, or if we're leaving at the same time I'll say hi, but aside from that it's not necessary.

You right, keep in touch to your program and shape.

Eventually, you will always see the same people if you follow a specific time zone... start talking to them or at least signals... they will likely with time open up to you and be gym buddies... however, dont expect everyone to be like that

Gym Gala? My gym is hosting a Gala (****tail, DJ, poker tables, food, celebrities hosting etc...) for the members and their guest... they expecting 1000 people to show up. My gym is making a party for its 30th anniversary in my city.. it does have 6 other sister gym in NorthAmerica in different cities which I can attend when i travel there since I am a member in my gym of the brand in the city.

So at this event... i'll be in classy suit, talking to other members of the gym.. making friends or meeting new people...

My gym do organize social events... outside of all the group class (swim, tennis, squash, zumba, basket etc...) and does try to have a ''social gathering feeling to it''

Good question..
i am usually in monk mode at the gym as well as i hit it hard but at the same time at this age and so busy with work the gym at 730pm is my only social outing for the week really.

I say if you have been seeing a girl consistently over a month and have swapped smiles or hellos when in passing just start up a convo little by little.

Yet I don't do this ha..

My gym is literally full to the brim with HOT woman.. Seriously I find gym game very difficult..

People in training mode are generally very focused, and not sure if a chick would appreciate being approached in the middle of a workout.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Why do you care, what a chick might think? 1x1 of game: Thinking about what a chick might think only gets into your way of approaching girls. The saying comes to mind: let the ho say no. ;-)

There Will Never be a Perfect Moment for any approach. All the mentioned things are only buffers to not approach out of fear of rejection.
