"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hello, and welcome once again to my series "Grow Some Balls". This series is dedicated to bringing about and addressing issues and dumb notions that even some of the "best of the best" with women make.

This part of the series deals with allowing women to control us.

Now the first thing you're probably going to think is "Hah, women can't control me cuz I'm a DJ!" and other stuff like that. But.....think about this....

How many times have you been SCARED TO DEATH to approach a woman (this includes you, "DJ's"), because you were afraid of how she was going to react to your approach? How many of you were petrafied even when you have planned what you were going to say and exactly how you were going to say? You want to know why this is going on? It's because you're letting women's ACTIONS control you.

I remember back in the day when I saw a woman who I really wanted to meet, yet I just couldn't go up there and talk to her because I was afraid of how she was going to react if I walked up to her and started talking to her. She was CONTROLLING me. She had complete control over whether or not I walked up to her and approached her. If she wanted me to approach her, all she had to do was just smile and wave at me and I swear I would have done it.

Now I'm going to cover something else: Everytime a woman makes you feel a POWERFUL emotion, it's almost always intentional.

Anytime a woman makes you feel incredibly nervous or uncomfortable when talking to her, I can guarrantee you that it's usually intentional. Some women will put their b!tch sheilds up extremely fast depending on what DAY it is (yeah, it almost always has NOTHING to do with you) and there's nothing you can do about it but just put up with it. However, that's not an excuse not to go after what you want.

We hesitate to do ANYTHING we want because we're so concerned about what the woman is going to do once we do what it was we planned on doing. Thus, allowing the woman to control us.

Try this, instead of walking away feeling beat up that a woman gave you the cold shoulder, try BUSTING on her about it right then and there.

Try saying something like, "Hm, as much as women live on the phone these days, I'm SURE you can do a LITTLE more talking than this."

A woman may be giving you the cold shoulder also to TEST you. This happens ALL THE TIME.

You see, when we allow women to control us, we lose control of ourselves. Once we lose control of ourselves, we lose control of HER. :)

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Yes and no. Women LOVE control, they especially love it when we want them, and cannot have (intercourse with) them. They think it is brilliant, and a huge EGO boost if we want to be with them, and they can blow us off with the "LJBF" bullcrap.

You can turn the tables by showing them, that there are other women out there, you will spend time, energy and effort on instead. Once they find out that your whole World doesnt revolve around them, and that OTHER women have taken their place, well it bothers their sleep, to say the least.

The trick is to find the ones who ARE interested and get with them, leave the egotisical attention (w)hores to themselves.

I have to agree.....the only person who EVER has control over you is you.

What's that old chinese proverb.....the greatest enemy is within(or something).

I don't think that women intentionally make an effort to make you nervous......if you get nervous than THEY will get nervous, they're designed to mirror your actions

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
