"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

little pauly shore quote for any simpsons fans out there :)

but in all seriousness i'm after some opinions from you pimps out there..

tan skin makes you look healthier, thus more attractive.

but i don't have the best skin for tanning. i've got fair skin, which burns easily. and from spending alot of time in the sun when i was younger i also have freckles. mainly on my face and arms. i got a comment from a girl who i recently caught up with after a year or so, after jokingly saying 'aren't i hot now?' she replied 'yeah, but u could use a tan'.

now while it was all joking, i know i would be more attractive with a tan, especially if it kind of covered my freckles? not sure if it would, or if they'd darken with the rest of my skin. but i'm getting off topic from what i wanted to ask.

living in australia we lack ozone layer and blah blah blah, trying to get a natural tan (as a guy with pale skin) probably isn't the best idea, very time consuming, and still dangerous.

i used to go to a tanning booth about a year ago, only went about 6-10 times and the results were fair, but i'm not really too keen on doing that again.

so what does everyone think is the best way to get a tan?

i'm especially interested if, like me, you have pale, freckly skin naturally, did u find a good way to get an even skin tone?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Basically there are four ways to get tan:

1. In the sun - you won't
2. Tanning bed - you won't
3. Tanning creams - darken your skin, haven't tried it
4. Tan spray - you go to a place and your sprayed with stuff to get a tan. Haven't tried it either.

IMO tanning beds are the best to get tan, but they will ruin your skin in the long run if you overdo it. You can do tanning beds whaever skin you have, start with 4 minutes, then 8, then 12, then 16 and end somewhere between 16-18 in the full time. I am northern europe and like most people here I have a bright skin and can get burned easily but tanning beds work for me.

yeah, as i said, i tried tanning beds. and it was working quite well i had to stop due to medication i was on.

maybe i'll just do that again. but i am concerned at the health risks associated with it.

Most people look a lot better and sexier with a tan. I prefer tanning beds overall for their convenience and year-round tanning capability. The real sun produces the best tan, but tan beds do a pretty damn good job.

I've also used tanning sprays, lotions, etc. (as a point of reference: I have a medium complexion) The best I've found is the tanning spray (not foam or lotion) by Neutrogena. Use "medium deep", not "dark", which is good, but a little too intense and unnatural looking for my taste. I even use the medium deep Neutrogena to even out my facial complexion when I'm really wanting to look my best for a date or special night out.

When using any tanning spray or lotion, always remember to wash your hands quickly after applying it, or your palms will be colored too. Also remember to wash your face/body a little while after applying the tanning spray/foam/lotion, etc. It will last for a few days, so washing a little while after application will not remove any of the color right away, but will get rid of the smell.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
