I work remote and write books for a hobby and part time career now, it helps supplement my Air Force retirement money and these chilled out coffee vibe places sort of get me focus while being in a social situation which is refreshing. While I'm on my breaks I'd probably get a latte, get some desserts and talk to the coffee barista there to practice my social skills. If I have time and I see a cute chick that I fancy, I'll say hi and start a conversation with her. I've gotten a few instant dates because coffee and a sitting station is so near off of this approach. I think these are some of the most auspicious time to get to know a woman in these places because the vibe is so chill, anyone familiar with this situation first hand? I think it's the most laid back time to meet women at these places and their shields are down and they're more open compared to a weekend evening where they know guys are on the prowl.
This was actually my earliest concept and approach to 'game.' I would essentially do the same thing. I met very many interesting people. I never secured instant dates then, but I would often bring first dates there. It was more of a "base" for my OLD "operations." lol I was on a few sites (before every icon that is clicked to RUN an .exe file or application that ACTUALLY runs the program became known as an "app.") I would have my laptop as well as a set up chessboard. Every once in a while someone would sit opposite me and make a move. I met and played against virtually every clique imaginable. No ladies played, but I'd get onlookers as soon as a game started.
I do at times miss how interactions like this used to be. Now it is entirely too lame. I tried this in a city much larger and 'diverse' than my hometown where I did before and it was an underwhelming experience. At an establishment known for a trifecta of coffee, c0cktails (SS censors that?!?!) and board games called "Pawn and Pint." I sat reading ebooks and had a chessboard set up and was there at least 3 hours. I decided to go do something else. hah.
I never had any luck in bookstores. It seems that unless you pull a "quagmire" in the sense "She's into fitness, she's a feminist, and she's figuring it out! Watch this! 'Hey honey, it's ok to be shy, I like to take things slow too!' 'Oh my gosh! The plight of the modern day woman is just TERRIBLE!' 'I can bench press 500 lbs!' There we go Peter, two for me, one for you!". Unless I read correctly what their stance was and did the chameleon (lucky for me I've never been THAT hard up for poon. Frustrated and without for a period of time? Bet on it, but not bad enough to do 'sneaky effer game.') having an independent critical thought of my own seemed to turn off ANY women who were intellectuals.
For some reason, the coffee shops inside of upper scale bookstores have DELICIOUS coffee drinks and they're comfy. I think the last time I attempted this I was reading through "Bicycle Diaries" and "How to argue and win every time." I only made coffee and bookstores essential to my application of "game" roughly from 2004-2011. I did notice that the kind of woman I WISHED I could get with were the kind of women who went to bookstores. Capable of having an intellectual conversation, understanding my wittiness (it gets REAL old when I need to explain every damned joke), dresses in trending clothing and she's a (NOT FAT or at least 1 beer effable) HB-6+. It seems different now, but fewer women who frequent bookstores seem to be in this 'tier.'
The long short of why I don't like the vibes anymore (although I will still on occasion revisit the vibe) is because I'm not the 'type' for nearly all women who frequent these venues. I'm a biker, vet, like to challenge the way people think (that's normally met with opposition now when curiosity used to be the norm) and a biker correcting someone on a logical fallacy, biology or thermodynamics (why there is no 'free' energy) they start obviously ignoring me to the point you'd think I have no game whatsoever. It's actually quite amusing. LOL Put that same chick in a dive where sweaty dudes in leather are shooting pool and throwing darts and that same chick would sit in my lap and bat her eyes.
