I've known this girl for a couple of years now and I am thinking about asking her on a date.

I never thought about asking her on a 1on1 date before, dont really know why.
Because i only really read about the "game" like 2 months ago and i thought it would be a good opportunity to practice since it would take next to no effort to ask her out and i feel comfortable around her.

One of my problems is going from simple conversation to the flirty/touchy bit smoothly. So i would just go out and see where it goes.

My worry is if it backfires for some reason and it gets awkward between us. Because she often hangs out with us it wouldn't be just "whatever, probably never see her again".

She is a really nice and itelligent girl but somehow i think she is some kind of female DJ lol

On the other hand I could also try escalating when we hang out with the squad but i dont really feel comfortable doing that.. maybe after a couple of pints

Your thoughts ?

Bad idea. If things go badly, which they likely will due to her already knowing you and seeing you as a friend, you are going to probably feel weird about being around her.

If anything, when you guys are all hanging out maybe just be like "So...how come we have never gone out before?" With a big smile o. your face, almost like you are joking. And see how she reacts. It will give you something to gauge your chances but also being kinda subtle. If she says something like "Cause you never asked" then I'd say go for it. If she says something like "Cause we are just friends" then it's likely a waste of time.

Typically I wouldn't care in a situation but since this is in your social group, it's a little different.

Yeah that's what I thought too.

Well lets say she is indirectly from my social circle, she hangs out with us maybe once or twice a month.

Your suggestion sounds good, yet if i do ask her out and she says yes it means she is interested since we see each other on a regular basis.
I think she is the type that wouldn't make a big thing about it but still, I am tempted however.

In that case i could juste ask her out and see how she reacts to that, because she will know it wont be the casual hanging out. Espacially if it's only the two of us.

I thought about this today, in my opinion if she doesn't want to go on a date with me, it is obvious she only sees me as a friend. On the other hand, if she does agree it is likely she is interested.

For the latter, she would not be surprised if i do try to escalate since she knows why i asked her out. Therefore if she goes on a 1on1 date with me she should know what to expect.
