you guys sound like a bunch of faggots.

you don't need to be a fashion slave that spends a small fortune on trendy clothes in order to pull attractive women.

What the f*ck is wrong with you f*cking people are you stupid? do you read what I f*cking write? are you that envious that you just skip half ogf what I say?

I said several time

EXPENSIVE CLOTHS/GOOD FASHION SENSE MAKES WOMEN MORE RECEPTIVE.

HOWEVER EXPENSIVE CLOTHS/GOOD FASHION SENSE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO GETTING WOMEN.

I do not know how I can make it any clearer

All it does is make them notice you more than they would a guy in cheap cloths and it makes the more receptive.

I never said cloths get you laid

So people like Serialized3 shut the f*ck up and read.

I never said cloths are the only important thing

I never said cloths get you the hottest women.

*Sigh*....

It was never my intention to start a flame war. Even so, I can't control the actions of others.

However, I do think there's more to people than the clothes you wear. There's the saying "The clothes make the man." I don't fully agree with that, though I think it can be a factor.

But whatever, I asked if people assume you're dressing better than your regular day-to-day if you're on a "night out on the town." This, by the way, is something I DON'T do, even though it's something I've noticed in others. I asked this question because I wonder if people are likely to make certain assumptions about me that aren't true, even though in my opinion it's hard to be any less formal without being sloppy.

When I do errands and such I don't go around town in a T-shirt and shorts. I don't even own a single T-shirt or a single pair of shorts. The most "casual" I have is short-sleeve dress shirts and jeans.
In reality a dress shirt and nice pants are fine man, people will not make assumptions about you and if they do it is just because they are jealous. For some nice cloths try:

http://www.raffaello-network.com

They stock a lot of last seasons cloths for cheaper. In my mind these days it doesn't matter if you wearing last seasons cloths. It is all the same **** pretty much, you might be able to find some nice dress shirts there for around the $100-$200 mark.

though people have to realize that just because you shop in a certain store, wear certain clothes...bla blah blah, doesnt make you rich...thats all apperance. Obviously you, NickBe, are succesful and i applaud you on that. But like i said, i know plenty of people, my dads best friend is 24, he has made over 2 million dollars a year since he was out of college. Whenveer i see him hes wearing like old navy or something. So....idk. Maybe its cause im Irish (heritage, were americans), and my dad is irish, we dont feel the need to be gaudy and show off. idk, my friends dad owns a liquor store and makes decent money probally like 400 grand a year....but they are so gaudy and stuff...they act like millionares, liek if you put his dad next to mine, you would think he was richer when in actuality, my dad probally made 4 times what his dad did last year. Just saying apperance is only skin deep.....but you did say that too so,.

also, just out of curiosity, what do you do?
I just copied and pasted this from a previous post.

-----

As for how I made money:

-I found something I was good at.

-I wrote an educational book on the subject.

-I found a publisher that was willing to give me a shot.

-The book was released and sold very well, in fact it became the standard book for anybody wanting to get into the field.

-I wrote more books they sold just as well.

Now I am invited to speak at conferences and expos on the subject. I am also invited to speak at universities/colleges around the world although i have yet to take any of them up on the offer. I am not going to reveal what the books are in reference to as I would not like people to now know exactly who I am. I also market myself on the internet and a large percentage of my income is from the internet. Anybody can make money from the internet, just find something you are good at and teach others how to do it. Like this whole seduction thing, people have become millionaires teaching other men how to get laid.

I am sure the owners of SoSuave make a living too just from the advertising on this site. I know because I charge $6,000 per month for companies to place a small add on my site.

Actually, to answer the OP's question, Dressing for the night I usually dress either the exact same stuff I wore in the day, or sometimes even worse, where I might have just left the gym, head to my friend's house in shorts/beater and i'll just borrow a jacket from him and we'll go out.

Take comments personal much? That isn't very DJ. :nono:

Anyways, my problem is that lately it seems the posters on this board have turned into a bunch of...well... women. And the ideologies they are talking about is really against the messages that this site was founded upon.

Women, not (straight) men, are the target of fashion. Women are the ones that run around worrying about their bodies and appearances.

I come on here and see people basically saying that unless you are a 6'3" white guy with an 8 pack, a million dollar income and the right car, clothes, cologne and watch, you won't get the women you want.

Those thoughts are poison, and go against all the ideas that any man through self-realization and some social coaching can get with many different types of women.

And yes, wearing thousands of dollars worth of high fashion might get some women to approach you at the vltra-high-class-bar that you go to. But that, in itself, is feminine.

But get real man. Wearing that kind of money is outside the means of most posters on this board. I think you really just like bragging on here.

NickBe no offense to you but I found your "success" claim to be a bit far fetched. I don't find the kind of money you're making to be a surprise since I am making similar kind of income and also know what is possible. You claim to bedded 70 or so girls. If I slept with that many woman I would'n be on here defending myself about something as stupid as this. I would be out enjoying my money and sleeping with girls.

70 women isn't two it is like one every two week over a three year period..?

Anyway I don't care what you would be doing if you were rich and slept with 70 women. I do not work that much these days, I maybe work one week out of the month if I need to and the rest of the time I do nothing. The thing on weekdays my friends are either in university or working, all the girls I sleep with are either at work or university. I basically have nothing to do in the day. On Thursdays my friend has a day off university and we go rock climbing and on Friday I take some dance lessons.

Monday-Thursday I sit at home doing absolutely nothing. I have downloaded about 650 gigs of movies and TV shows. So yes during my week I post on forums, watch a lot of downloaded TV shows and post on forums.

On top of all that I am living at my mum house right now because I am moving to Europe in a few weeks. I had to get all my possessions out of my apartment because by weeks end my lease is officially over. I am really jsut hanging around for the end of the Tax year so I can do my taxes and get out of this country. If it wasn't for taxes I would have already left..

So there you go another person assuming **** without knowing the full details...

It is feminine to dress well? Women are the target of fashion? Men and women have been the target of fashion ever since cloths were invented. It is just that these days it is more emphasized, see if i buy a $500 shirt it is going to look similar to the $50 one in style. This is because the companies that mass produce the ****ty shirts are following fashion trends. So whenever you buy a new shirt you are being fashionable. I am just spending a lot more on my short because it is comfortable, fits better, looks better on me and women I go for appreciate it. It is the same thing as a guy with a low income buying a new shirt, I am just buying designer because of the perks.

So don't go on about that feminine bullsh*t we all dress ourselves up. To the untrained eye from a distance I would look exactly the same as a guy with a $100 outfit.

All of a sudden people are saying wanting to be comfortable in your cloths, look good in your cloths is feminine. Well if it is then so be it, you can take your nylon/polyester blend shirts that feel like cardboard and make you sweat. I will take my expensive cotton ones that feel like a second skin and keep my body cool, ventilated oh and lets not forget fit/look better than cheaper shirts. All of a sudden common sense is feminine, probably why sites like this exist.

Anyway I do not suggest you need to be 6'3, white and rich. I am 5"7, dark skinned and even when I had no money and crappy cloths I use to get laid every other day. You do not need the cloths to get laid but as I said 100 times they make women more receptive.

Assuming is all anybody has to go by on these boards. You are right about the clothing, you work hard for your money and it is your right to tell the world you're successful but there is nothing to accomplish by defending your case here when 99.9% does not bedded 70+ girls by age 22 and do not make a million a year. All you'll get will be jealousy and bitter people. People will dismiss what is seemingly an impossible feat.

If what I assume is wrong then sorry but don't expect people to know who you are just by what you say, that is ridiculous. Whenever I come across a flame war with somebody, I will stop responding to the thread after a couple of post. Maybe am an old man now, I just find it silly that you still defend yourself if you're as succesful as you claim. Who gives a rat's ass what people on sosuave flame or assuming you about? accomplishment comes with enlightenment, you already know this thread is a waste of time. I will likely not check this thread again, I suggest you don't reply either and let this thread die.

Apologies for my role in starting this flame war.

NickBe said:
Yeh min619 but it also has a lot to do with status and the women you want to go for. You will find it hard to take a sophisticated, cultured, beautiful woman home if you are no dressed in good cloths. This is not to say you cant but generally speaking high status women look at these things. They are wearing a $1000 dress so they want the guy to be wearing something good too, its not the cloths or the money its just the status that comes with these things that they look for.

.
NickBe. Seriously, not trying to **** on you. I'm not even arguing with you.

I understand your point. Nice clothes will help. I agree.

I'm coming from another angle (which I will deal with in one second)...my bone of contention was the tone of your original post which seem focussed exclusively on how expensive your clothes were. I got the impression that you equated price tag with style and as a result I had assumed you were trying to attract women with wealth and I just don't think that a good idea.

Anyway, now I know where you are coming from so this next bit isn't meant to be part of this argument which has been raging.

Okay.

Its funny this happened over the weekend.

I was having a coffee with a few friends in a trendy cafe. I was dressed in:

T-Shirt $10 (old and faded)
Jeans $50 (old and beginning to fray)
Boots $90 (definately not shiny)
Beanie $15
Sunnies $6 (Bali el cheapos)

I wasn't wearing my jacket (it was hung over my chair) which is worth a couple of hundred but it is a rock climbing brand that is all beaten up not some slick thing....

The point is I was looking so cool (despite the cheapness of my clothes) my friends were teasing me, in front of the sexy waitresses, saying I looked like a moviestar.

Anyway, a real rockstar walked into the cafe. No bull****!

He was dressed in real expensive clothes as was the chick he was with (btw the chicks at my table and the waitresses hanging about were all hotter than the rockstars girl).

"Hey, you should go hang out with the other rock star!" They told me.

"He doesn't look cool enough to hang with me." I said. Its true, despite all the labels both of em looked stupid...

All the girls agreed.

Now.

To deal with the above quote.

You can express "status" in you actions.
