Li'l K and I are avid fans of Mystery's show The Pick-up artist. She will be thirteen soon and is vastly ahead of young lady's her age. She can already tell me how the guys fvcked up in the approach, the conversation, etc. . . She can explain, in great detail, the importance of confidence. That's no accident. The way kids in school interact with each other is vastly different than when I was a wee little tyke picking my scabs and boogers, just as it's different from when my parents walked 10 miles barefoot and uphill through snow to get thier little school on the prairie. To think otherwise is not only unhealthy it's unrealistic. The access kids have to information is a 180 from the soup cans on a string and smoke signals we would use to get the news and the word out.
Now, lot's of guys are going to inevitably freak out and think "Oh God, they're going to see all of our secret, most occult teachings out in the open!" "What are we going to do if we step to a 3 set and they immediately know I'm using Mystery Method or Badboy or whack Deangelo pickup lines?" "Oh Christ, NO!" Men uncomfortable with thier own ability to breathe and relax and trust thier gut will tuck tail and hide behind thier monitor waiting for the coast to clear. These are the girls you guys will be trying to spit game and they're onto you. They know the lingo, they know the robotic machinations, learn to live with the fact that they know.
So what's the remedy? Just as in years before and years to come, a guy needs to be comfortable in his skin. All of these tricks and vernacular are just ways of manipulation. Not deceit, manipulation. Fruitful, earnest encapsulation in the confidence of masulinity is what women find alluring and also what activates new circuitry in our brains .
Li'l K and Mrs. K are vital in my understanding of what women think and feel and how they interact on a socio-psychological front. For that I owe them everything.
