"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

This is my pet peeve...I am in a town full of soldiers and the numbers are growing.

Now what I find annoying is that many girls are adopting the mentality that the soldiers are far better than anybody and etc bullcrap. They wont date anyone else but soldiers. There is a love/hate relationship going on over here.

The worst thing is that many of these guys dont even see combat or any action yet they are perceived as "heroes" or saviour in a uniform. They just use their label as soldiers to push their way around and intimidate. I'm not generalising but it is a growing problem where I am and many of my friends hate them and run a mile when they come along. Sure I respect a lot of soldiers but they have to show respect for the general public to earn it.

I can admit there are some good guys in the army, I was actually considering a career in the army but so much sh*t puts me off. There's been so much rape, drink spiking, bashings and other nasty crap these guys are up to when they are off duty.

There is a growing number of misconception that macho is a perfect substitute for DJism. This is turning into a terrible scene. It's really hard to go out these days because even if I'm clearly with my "catch", a whole frickin platoon would line up to do what they think resembles "macking". My game is tight and always get my girl but its getting a bit old when you always have to cheer up the girl after being creeped out by GI Joe or worst play the hero and take off with a girl that all of them want, which generally stirs up "player-hater" sentiments. It almost feels like I'm dealing with gangstas and thugs. I honestly can't find the difference in behaviour. It is really difficult to do my own thing when 6 or 7 soldiers come in and try "cut my grass" and insult me in front of my girl to impress everybody and threaten me to be ganged up when I stand up for myself.

And the girls who think theyre prized chickens here do make me sick. And army gfs do make good cheaters too...I've had 3 of them and I really wished they were up front about their "false" commitments. But noooo, now I have some muscle dummy with chronic heroism to deal with.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

My advice is...stay away from girls who have dated many soldiers because in my opinion they are just your everyday groupie. They generally go through the whole platoon and they just get worse. Even if you are a soldier be cautious, because your girl will play when you are away. Dont show your gal to the other army guys too...because chances are she would be fair game. Next, you will be replaced by another roid ranger who comes rolling in

ALL the girls I know who have partners in the army have cheated on them or shown really wh*rish behaviour. I know there are some real Djs in the army but it's startin to look grim for them.

I take it this way. It's like girl saying I only date players, not AFCs... Since army dudes will be like men with girls, instead of like wusses. Thus she don't know anything about true players, and want one, but don't know what she wants.. Makes sense, because women don't make sense.

Girl says taht to me, find another one. I'd take it as if she's not into me.

Oh yea there are a lot of machos in the army but there is a lot who are worse AFCs and downright psychos...but saying the fact that they are in the army saves their a*ses from rejection from these groupie gals.

but yes you are right about things like girls dont know anything about them. there is a difference between real macho and real men.

have any of you guys have been in situations like these?

You're full of sh*t. Seriously.

The only reason soldiers are percieved to be involved in more crap is because the media makes it look that way. Regular civvie off the street spikes some girl's drink in a club? Page 30 of your local newspaper, if it makes the paper at all. Soldier spikes some girl's drink in a club? Front page of national papers, it's all over TV, and talk shows start whining about it. Same with violence.

By the way, what the hell is a roid ranger? Is that some kind of hippie nickname for a soldier who works out and has a real job instead of smoking pot all day?

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Very valid points here.

YES, a girl WILL cheat on the soldier when he is away, no matter how 'good' her values are she will eventually cheat. (My best friend joined the army and his GF of 4 years, my friend as well, ended up cheating on him and dumping him, she even tried to get with me but I turned her down)

For soldiers: Do not have a GF and expect her not to cheat, what would you do if you were by yourself for 6 months at a time? even if you did not mean any harm to the other person, humans have needs that must be fulfilled!

I would only recommend a soldier having a partner if she is his WIFE and she travels wherever he is stationed to live with him!

The process of becoming a government-sponsored and sanctioned killer is inherently dehumansing. Racism, sexism, homophobia and misogyny are all tools employed in the process of turning regular men and women into people who kill on command. What else can you expect?

Lesson here : don't kill, die or be a c*ck for your country. Its not worth it, and if that is the kind of person your country wants you to be in order to serve it, your country does not deserve your loyalty.

And if that doesnt make you feel okay again, go and burn a flag. works for me :)
Aaaaaand you've shown you're a retard who's full of sh*t and who doesn't have a clue about what he's talking about. Congratulations, it usually takes a few posts before it's noticeable in most people.

Go over to Iran if you don't like it in the free world.

haha, I love the free world Fred. Its a pity that there is no such thing.

I'm not looking to get into a political discussion. I'll remove the post.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Whatever gave you that idea? :)

For the record, I know of at least two members of the CF who study at Queen's, which must be maddening.

I think a lot of people exagerate these issues too much, im ex military so I know what it's like. Lots of girls automatically think your a wanker if your in the military (especially army) You can generalise all you want, however there is always exceptions to the rule.

Just tell them: "I got soul but I'm not a soldier"

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Yeah. I don't attend RMC either.

And noting that you're familiar with the area, what's your story, we should go out some night?

Down South. Between the Y junction.
Soldiers get a heighten sense of importance simply from their association with an armed services. Its like we got the guns and you touch one, you touch all. And especially during a time when everyone is supporting the military in their overseas expedition, its politically incorrect to critisize them, unlike what the public did during vietnam.

To be honest, the babes that go out with Mil dudes only aren't the best and fairest of them all.

You're probably relating to the select few that go on a power trip when they go to work, or when they get off work, or something relating to work and they just power trip.

That's a huge difference between someone who power trips, and someone with an air of confidence.

Take persay this one moron yesterday (Fred, he goes to RMC, he's tasked to PSTC if you know of him). He's an officer cadet (thereby no rank whatsoever). He tried passing off work to supervise, trying to take control, and...and...the most stupid move of all, told the MCpl in charge to 'hurry up the timing'.

He had his ass ripped out of him and shoved back in for 10 minutes.

What's the point of the story. Another power tripping idiot put back in his place by a decent MCpl.

I'm the exact same way, I don't use authority very much, but for that, I GET THE JOB DONE, and I do it with finesse. That alone tells people something.

Ive actually had plenty of conversations with current soldiers, ex-mil, vets and reservists. Most admit that there is a lot of w*nkers out there with a false sense of heroism and trigger happy attitude. The ones who go out feeling they have an overcompensated air of importance just because they have enlisted. They have this touch one touch all system going on in the nightclub strips.

One ex-army (25+ years experience) I do teaching with actually admits that the army aint what it used to be. There are a whole lot of w*nkers that make it a whole lot difficult for everyone. A lot of them show a decreased level of respect to the general public.

In my town, a third of the army goes out. The ex-army friend of mine told me are the ones who are most likely to cause trouble. The media's headlines shows the army being involved with drugs, rapes, spikings and other nasty crap it might seem like the media is blowing things up but I have a few mates in the army and they say that "yea, thats pretty much true. that's why Im getting out"

Do you know why this whole army thing bothers me? It's because I am considering a career in the army. F*ck, I am sick of wasting my life away doing assignments, teaching classes, doing security on the side and dealing with scum. And I am a little concerned of whether it will be a lose-lose situation for me if I just leave my situation and enlist. EG gf cheatin on me while I am away, lose my way in the "pack-mentality". Give up everything I have.

Maybe I will try the reserves, They dont get respect at all from both the regular army and general public. Maybe I just have a pessimistic point of view. Maybe I've just seen the worst of them all when actually Im just in the wrong place and wrong time.

I respet anyone who lays down their lives for me.. because I'm sure as hell not. If I have to give up first dibs to a broad for you protecting my life... so be it. I can live with that.

however, a woman who knows she only dates "army guys" is just as crazy/loco as a woman who only dates "black guys" (i'm black and I won't date a girl that says that ****) or whatever... you have made a decision without even knowing the guy

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
