"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I have to admit I've always been pretty AFC until the past two years or so. I'm a pretty good looking guy, athletic, middle class, but I always had a complex about not being good enough. Whether it was rich enough, cool enough, you know, basically had a self esteem problem and looked for validation everywhere else besides myself. There always seemed like there were girls I couldn't have from the get-go, even before I talked to them, because I wasn't rich enough, didn't have the best car, the best friends, etc. I mean, I had fun and was popular in high school and college, but I couldv'e done a lot better, I guess I was just immature and insecure.

Well now I moved off on my own but I still keep in touch with all my old friends. I'm very confident now and I am rolling in girls (basically because they didn't know me before I had perfected my game). Everytime I see the girls I never had a chance with from high school or college, it seems my game is gone and it's just like old times, sort of like we implanted our places back then and it never changes. The type girls that I used to could never get where I used to live I can get easily here. It's weird, and I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced that.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I only had this problem once. I encountered this ugly b1tch that I hated. When I saw her, all those old 5hitty feelings came rushing back, and I wanted to run. Sounds lame, but it happened.

Other than that, I've banged a couple of girls I was too scared to ask out when I was an AFC. That gave me an incredible feeling of victory! :)

It's all about perceptions. You'll always be anchored in the old school girl's mind as a chump... until she perceives otherwise. I find more often than not (it happened today actually) that when I run into a girl that I thought was way out of my league during my AFC days, either:

1) I can't believe my dumb ass ever held her in high regard, or
2) If she happens to be hot now, years later, I find myself teasing her, busting her, basically gaming her like any other random hot chick.

Usually it's the first case. In most instances she was perhaps in the 6-8 range back in the day, and the addition of body fat and possible unplanned children have dropped her to the 4-6 range.

The best thing I can say regarding your experience is that if you've truly actualized as a DJ, you won't revert to your old paradigms.

Dont mess with ex from old times. She met You as AFC and thats who You gonna stay for her.
Couldn't disagree more. While yes, you shouldn't be messing with ex's, you certainly can change people's perceptions quite easily. Let's say you run into a hot chick from your high school who only remembers the nerdly chump version of you from back in the day. Do you think she's going to continue to see you like that if you exude total confidence, look and act like you have some testosterone in you now, and possibly are spotted with another attractive woman? I think not.

you can have these girls

they respond to whatever you give them today. i've had chicks who were too good for me in HS flat out proposition me in college. and ditto for college chicks I ran into later.

but if you revert to AFC in their presence it won't work. so in that case just avoid them. don't ruin your game

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
