Why does this happen 80% of the time?

I take a 8 minute long walk to get to my lectures in the mornings and after noons and I walk past dozens of girls on the way. 4 of the will look away, to the right, to the left or beyond me and 8 of them will look down.

I walk with great posture - better than it ever was - I don't stare, but I give a nice smile ....

It gets on my nerves a bit, because I usually feel happy when someone smiles back at me and tend to have a better day.

they're shy and don't know how to handle eye contact. i notice women 28+ smile with eye contact. college girls are different.

If you get a smile from a cute girl, you HAVE to say hi.

Otherwise, yes everyone is correct. If they look away they are probably not interested, looking down they are shy.

Don't be afraid to make and hold eye contact. I do it all the time. Let her catch you looking. Then if she smiles or whatever, approach.

Usually when they break eye contact first this is submissive which is a good sign. I wouldn't worry about it, try throwing them a small smirk with they make eye contact and if they smirk and look away or nervously look away you're good.

Its when they give you the stink eye or give you the "youre a creeper" look back at you is when you have a problem.

It sounds like you're looking for an ego boost either way, so what's the difference. If you're actually interested in hooking up with any of the girls you pass, you should talk to them.

I wouldnt NECESSARILY say that they're attracted to you, although many of them might be. If you are well build, or tall, or your body language is very confident, then they will tend to look away to break the tension. I find this is more common with 7's and 8's and less common with 10's because the 10's will look you right in the eye.

I'm tall, skinny (but not like a stick) and I guess my body language is top mark, I mean I've been focusing on improving it and I think it has.

A cute girl looked me dead in the eye and she wasn't a 10.

looking down/avoiding eye contact is normal behavior in mammals to show submissiveness.

dont misconstrue things. if a is submissive to you it doesnt necessarily mean shes attracted to you. but its a good sign if a girl that likes you is submissive. do a quick search on the question "its hard to make eye contact with my boyfriend" or something similar and see for yourself.

a womans natural state around a man is/should be submissive.

Wait so if I'm in a bar/club situation and I'm scanning the room, like I do, and happen to make eye contact with a random girl and she looks down immediately, what does that mean?

Usually, like the dumbo I am, I would take that as a lack of interest and move on to new heights.

This happens to me alot also but in most cases, we first make eye contact for a second from afar, then she looks down, and just when we about to walk past each other she'll give me another quick glance and look away again. And that's when I go in

For me the second glance usually confirms if she likes me
