She hurt her ankle or something the other week and her parents picked her up and took her back home for the Holidays this past weekend instead of her driving. Yesterday, she asked me to drive her back to her university on Saturday which is a 6 hour round trip and that she would pay for gas money. I told her 6 hours of my time on a weekend is worth way more money than just gas money, so I told her to have 130 dollars in my bank account by a Friday or no deal. She said I was an ******* because she she would do the same for me and her parents are saying not so nice things about me as well. Was this really a **** move lol?

A lesson men; don't ever be the source of the reason you don't want to do something. Always blame something or someone else who they don't know. If you make yourself the source, they will find holes in the excuse and your rep takes a hit, if you don't, there is nothing they can do.

I think what makes it look cheap is that you put a price on your free time and charged her for it, which I agree is a lame/pathetic move and it has nothing to do with her or what she's done. It would have been better if you just said you don't have the time for that which is what you are really thinking anyway, so just say so.

I'm glad you said what you said. Yes, it was harsh, but you literally just defined how you feel/view the relationship to her. Her parents are mad b/c, when she spoke of you to them, she made you seem more committed than you actually are. If she stays it's her fault & it doesnt seem like you care if she goes.
