"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

She hurt her ankle or something the other week and her parents picked her up and took her back home for the Holidays this past weekend instead of her driving. Yesterday, she asked me to drive her back to her university on Saturday which is a 6 hour round trip and that she would pay for gas money. I told her 6 hours of my time on a weekend is worth way more money than just gas money, so I told her to have 130 dollars in my bank account by a Friday or no deal. She said I was an ******* because she she would do the same for me and her parents are saying not so nice things about me as well. Was this really a **** move lol?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Sorry to say but she is right.

Telling her to that she needs to pay more than gas money is rude, i would get pissed off too, after all she is your girlfriend isnt she?

You should have said you are busy.

Why is this even a question? I know women don't want a nice guy, but sometimes you got to do things for your girl. You would be better off lying and saying you had plans already.

Dude they do want a "nice" man in that someone that will help them out from time to time. They just don't want a "nice" man who has no self respect.

Telling her "no" is not harsh. Telling her she should pay more is crazy. You were better off saying "I'm not driving for 6 hours" and leaving it at that. Sometimes, I think you guys read too much into the DJ rules.

I've done enough for that girl already. Her favor tokens have been used up.
I feel you. Another freebie on your behalf... It's good you pointed out then that the 6 hrs drive there, your pain, suffering and stress cost more than some gas. So I understand your view

If I respected her more I would have done it for gas money. She's just a spoiled brat with the golden ***** syndrome and acts like just being with her should make up for 6 hours of my weekend I could use resting or for leisure.

Your right

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Well, if you feel that way about her, it's understandable why you would say that.

I'd ask for a continuous BJ for st lesst 1/3 of the ride.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I don't get how I'm a cheap pos? I don't need the money but I sure do value 6 hours of a weekend. Add an additional hour or 2 if I want sex or something. I would bite that bullet for family only lol.

A lesson men; don't ever be the source of the reason you don't want to do something. Always blame something or someone else who they don't know. If you make yourself the source, they will find holes in the excuse and your rep takes a hit, if you don't, there is nothing they can do.

The less powerful you act, the more powerful you are. :)

I think what makes it look cheap is that you put a price on your free time and charged her for it, which I agree is a lame/pathetic move and it has nothing to do with her or what she's done. It would have been better if you just said you don't have the time for that which is what you are really thinking anyway, so just say so.

In the title you called her your girlfriend....but she' really just some chick you are banging. Not necessarily a plate but not someone you would consider a serious LTR with.

I'm glad you said what you said. Yes, it was harsh, but you literally just defined how you feel/view the relationship to her. Her parents are mad b/c, when she spoke of you to them, she made you seem more committed than you actually are. If she stays it's her fault & it doesnt seem like you care if she goes.
