"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

My girlfriend is visiting a guy she has known for a long time. She is going over to his house after visiting her dad in the hospital because his grandfather in in the same hospital. She called me last night and told me this. She said she felt guilty that she was going over there and not spending time with me. She got sidetracked at that moment by her parents and I took that oppertunity to get off the phone without acknowledging what she said. After that she text messaged me asking me if I wanted to hang out on Monday (we don't have school). I replied telling her I'd have to make sure I wasn't doing anything etc. She text messaged me back trying to keep the conversation going but I chose to go to sleep instead of replying.

From what I can tell this guy been attracted to her for the longest time but she doesn't really know it. She might feel some of the same attraction. They almost got together once and I think she might still regret it not happening. I think he might be in her friends zone. Did I make the right decision here or should I have put my foot down? On Monday I'm going to probably tell her that I want to meet this kid and maybe drill her about her intentions a little bit.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

If you don't feel good about this (understandable), maybe considering going with your gf to visit the guy.

Probably a good idea but it's a little late in the game for that, right now I just hope that the trust I've put in her hasn't been misplaced. I kind of let it slide because I've been meaning to decrease the time we are seeing each other each other a little bit and not seeing her for 2 days is a good way to start. On Monday I guess I'll just have to pay attention and look for signs of guilt on her and make sure I show her that there is no reason to cheat, I doubt she'll do anything with the guy though, never cheated before.

You're making something out of nothing.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Ha... I think you were right. Last night she texted me saying "hey u i havn't talked to u all day" and I texted her back. She called me afterwords and we had a short conversation until my power went out. I guess she never got the chance to go over to her friends house, etheir that or she decided agaisint it. Today we hung out for a few hours, she had to go to work but she kept procrastinating till the last minute to get off the couch. She kept complaining about how much she didn't want to go to the whole car ride there. I don't have anything to worry about.
