"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I told my girl to phone me over text last night and she came up with an excuse (needed to go to the bathroom), she counter-offered to phone me back later once she gets home.

I keep myself busy for 30 minutes and no phone call. Yes, this is a bad position to be in. Then I see her on Facebook later posting videos, having never phoned me or even texted me after I had time to do almost a full workout.

Should I be concerned about this phone flake or let it pass with a mental note?

This is my second serious girlfriend so I have less experience than knowledge. ;)

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

you want to lay down the law but don't want to make it seem like a big deal to you.

Yeah, what I'd do is say nothing but make a mental note of it. If she keeps up this sort of behaviour then its time to let her know you expect better from her. Be firm but don't be angry saying it. Always stay in control of your emotions.

The above are sound advice. On a sidenote, don't contact her until she does.

Again though, keep this moment in mind, and if it ever happens again, let her know you're not going to tolerate such disrespect.

Not at all, that's an excellent reason to dump her and find one who actually respects you. Congratulations :)

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

That's an excuse? Sounds like bulls*it to me. Very dumb move on her part.

What would I do? I don't tolerate flakes very well, mainly when they give stupid reasons like going to the bathroom. Because you two are dating (for how long btw?), I'd let this one instance go, but if she flakes again, it's time to talk. As the above posters said, be firm, don't show anger.

If she keeps playing games, end it with her. She's not worth your time.
