"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

How did she even suggest the place? The man always makes the date, especially a first date.

I wouldn't next this chick just because of that, maybe she just wants to try this place and hasn't been before? Maybe she has been there and absolutely loves it. Maybe she has the funds and isn't worried about the price? I would say suggest somewhere else if your not comfortable with paying that.

Why are you going for coffee on a first date? Can you have sex and escalate properly over coffee?
Also, first dates are short, so paying 9 euro x 2 is only 18 euro, not too bad for a first date.. in my opinion
I think it's an actual restaurant and he was using coffee as an example. Dishes are probably in the $30+ ranges.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

It was not going to be a coffee date at 8pm.
I used coffee as an example, a beer went for the same price, c0cktails 25.
I'm just not a sucker like most men on OLD who are happy to pay for dates and then be surprised they do not get laid afterwards but the broke guy on the street who pays them no attention does. Like the saying beta bucks, alpha fvcks.

If she would have started to order c0cktails at 25 a pop and almost a guarantee for no pvssy, I thought it would not be worth the scene to pay the bill.
If she's ordering c0cktails plural then you'd certainly get laid

Winner! Least amount of confidence displayed by SS member in his ability to score with drunk woman. Bonus points! Tries to shamelessly take sympathy and economics angle! Don't worry Deuce, there are lots of frat boys here who will say you did the right thing.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I'm supposed to meet this 24 yo hottie tomorrow.
She suggests a place here in Amsterdam and a quick glance at the menu online shows the prices are not for the faint hearted. (standard cup of coffee 9eu)

I'm thinking about cancelling, I don't even want to suggest a cheaper place and be accused of being tight azz on money.

How to proceed?
Had a chick pull this on me years ago. She suggested the most expensive place in town for our first date. I suggested another more simpler place since this would have been date one. She was adamant saying she wanted to go to expensive place with the justification "I've never been there and have always wanted to go." I said that i would prefer some place a little more toned down. How about we save the fancy place for a later date here is how the rest of our conversation went.

Her -"Oh come on I've always wanted to go to the Estrel. I have never been and think it would be awesome."

Me "how about this. Tonight will go to Kelseys and we will save the Estrel for another night down then road. Sound good?"

Her "mmmmm."

Me "what's the matter?"

Her " you're not a tight wad are you? "

Me " ok. Fine. Lets go the Estrel. Dinner is on you tonight."

Her " WTF? Uh no!"

Me smiling from ear to ear, " what's wrong? You're not a cheap tight wad are you?"

She sat dumbfounded for about 20 seconds saying nothing then i said "don't slam the car door on your way out. Dates over."
