"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Met this chick a few weeks ago. She gave me her number.

Asked her out, but she said that she was 'getting to know another guy', but agreed to go on a date anyway.

We did, had fun etc, she touched me, rubbed my arm etc. At the end I went for a kiss and she rejected me. After 20 more minutes when I was saying good-bye to her I went for a kiss again and she gave me the chick and said:

her: "I told you I'm getting to know another guy"

I went no contact following the advise given here. A week later she added me on FB. Then, she liked one of my pictures in which it is me and a female friend of mine.

I plan on keeping my no contact and waiting for her to initiate. If she did, I'd ask her out again.

Opinions?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I think she wants to keep me as an option B. Uhm...

And I just got her a beer, and she wanted to pay for it, because she's more than wealthy. That beer was 3 €.

I'll continue NC.

unless she's already committed, then her putting her efforts into someone else says she thinks you lack something she wants in a man. If you just want to hit it for fun while she falls back on you for attention probably only temporarily then go for it if you are up for the challenge

This is some of your finest work, pyros. Keep it up. Adding you to FB and liking your photos is nice, but it's passive. We need her to text you, either by phone or FB, and initiate a convo. You reply with a Q of your own, she replies, then you ask for the date. If it's anything except for yes or a no with solid counter offer, she's back in the NC corner.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Stay aloof. It seems to be working. You got the hamster wheel spinning. Nice work.
