Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Ok here is the thing I met this chick on the net and we talked on the phone and she invited me out because she like me. So I met up with her and a few of her friends and i had a buddy join me. When I got there she paid most of attention to my friend right off the bat. It was like I wasnt there it seemed like. What is up with this picture? She seen all my pix and thought i was cute. So i dont get it. I stand no chance here am i right?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Naw he really doesnt go out with many women. Its just nutz thought cause i thought she really wanted to meet me. She might have been trying to make me jealous but It was hard to tell I've never been with a chick that did that so I'm kinda new to othat.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

My friend didn't get any digits from her. Only I have her number and I got a quick hug and she is suppose to call me. Only brought a friend with me because she was out with a few of her friends.

Simple: You weren't as cool or interesting in person as you were online. Online, there are no awkward pauses in conversation and you can hit off with anybody. In person, the chemistry online wasn't there, so she lost interest in you, but apparently hit off with your friend.

I had an online friend once. We seemed to get along really well and be flirtatious and etc., and he lived in the area so we decided to meet up. When we met in person, it was like we had nothing in common and the conversation was forced. We haven't contacted each other since.

Why did you bring a friend with you in the first place? Why wasn't it just you and her?

Because she was with friends and it was a bit of a drive up north. Conversation with her was good in person and on phone never any silent pauses. We actually have tons in commons.

If so much is roses and peaches, what are you worried about? Is there more to the story?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
