"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

There's this girl that has been asking me to come out and party with her and her friends. This is probably the third time she asked. The problem is that I have only a few friends, which means virtually no social proof. On top of this the friends that I do have can't do anything the night that her and her friends are going out. This means it would basically be all of them, and just me with absolutely no social backing. Now, I'm pretty awkward as it is, and I think I'd have trouble just coming into their group and socializing when they already have their own little thing going. So, what should I do? I don't want to be the odd man out and end up just standing there by myself nursing a beer the whole party. I feel like that would hurt me more than it would help. Is it a risk worth taking?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Good gosh man, she's going to introduce you to her friends so, BE FRIENDLY WITH THEM, HAVE A GOOD TIME! She'll be more impressed with how you interact with her friends than watching you hang out with people you already know.
