"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

right...and how many GOOD mothers are there out there??? Last time i looked at the percentages children were having children... he's not using the kid as a way in, persay, he can however accept that the hb comes with baggage, and show he is non threatening by helping her with her bags, so to speak...

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I have to say I am grateful that I just can't even begin to wrap my mind around that.

Time for me to step in here. She got knocked up in her teenage years at a drunken party. She stuck it out with the kid, while her church pretty much denounced her. The father is out of both of their lives. I recall that he was not the best of the male species. She had to get a lawyer on him. It's a great thing she had the kid because he is a remarkable and gifted kid. He's into art and athletics at a young age and showing talent in both. wtf?! He's been introduced to me and was very chillaxed with me around. If he was to become a step-son, you couldn't ask for a better one - the kid is clearly special. However, i am definitely not using the kid as an "in". I'm not excited about being a father figure to this kid IF things ever got that far. If i recall correctly, she doesn't want a stepfather for him. Regardless, he is part of the picture and if she is thinking LTR, i have to take that into consideration.

The woman is sharp AND beautiful. You could not imagine a more amazing voice on the other end of the phone...

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Right! Most Southerners = overweight. It ain't the bottom of the country for nothing!

I am considering not calling this woman after all. She never seemed to be into me. Definitely no passion for me. I think i was just one more willing young man eager to get some action from her and she indulged me to feel validated. Oh, and i was an uber-AFC around her. As beautiful as she now is, I can't say that her personality ever excited me or that we had a lot of fun together. Still, when we bumped into each other at the supermarket, it was exciting. Probably, just the sexual history we shared coming back. She is genuinely nice and giving, but she is very proud, never shows weakness, and has always been a feminist. I think she's got too many deep-seeded issues to be a proper match for me. Best to start from scratch with someone new. I just feel pretty bad that i asked her for her number and she gave it to me. Oh well, she did ask me not to call any time soon...

Call this hor when it pleases you to call - who gives a shyt what the hor said - you dictate because you are the man - if she doesn't respond favorably to your demands then go to the next hor!!! Hors value men who don't listen to them!!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

UPDATE....i called her last night after much hesitation because we had communicated by email and i didn't want something as impersonal as email to be the medium we used, even if we had no future. We talked for 10 minutes and it was cordial. She was friendly. Afterward, i wasn't all to excited to have called her. I really didn't want to roll that ball again. Today, she emailed me and told me that she doesn't want any relationship, casual or serious. She then wrote

"...I have to wonder whether if I told you I had gained 50lbs since we last saw each other in the grocery store, you would still be interested in seeing me or talking. That is something I find unacceptable and personally offensive. I'm looking better and better these days, and intend to continue on that route and am attracting more male attention based on my appearance than I know what to do with, but I really want to be on my own for now anyway".

I was prepared just to write back and say that we were both on the same page (as far as not going any further) and then just wishing her well, as i am not going any further with this woman. But part of me wants to argue a man's perspective that i select or am attracted to women who take care of themselves and stay fit and that i didn't reject her as a person. But as a sex partner, she wasn't acceptable in the state she was in when i stopped seeing her. Our relationship was agreed to be casual and sexual. A fling, not an LTR. So the whole thing was based on sexual attraction. I'm pretty sure i should not even go there and leave my reply short and crisp and end communication. What do you think? Should us men ever try to get through to women that they have to stay fit if they want us to accept them as sex partners? Again, i didn't reject her as a person. I simply ended the relationship because she was not physically acceptable. This woman does not want to accept reality. She wants to have her cake and eat it to. Just as us men have to accept the "harsh reality" that women are attracted to confident men, i think women need to accept the "harsh reality" that we men are always and ever will be attracted to physically fit and attractive women WHERE SEX IS CONCERNED...

I think her ego might still be a bit bruised from when you dumped her. But she still likes to know that you are interested, even though she's putting you at arms length. Better to forget about her IMO.

I dated this HB9 woman back in 2000-2001 for several months before ending things. Two years ago, i contacted her and we started seeing each other again. Things were much better than the first time around, only she had put on some weight, enough for it to be a problem for me and i made the mistake of telling her so. I dropped her for a blond i met at a party. Over the past year, i stayed in touch with the HB9 via email. She started working out and began getting back in shape. (She was originally devastatingly beautiful before she had a son at an early age). She lost a lot of weight and sent me a pic to prove it. Then we ran into each other at a local supermarket. It was like something out of the movies. She wasn't kidding - she was back to her stunning and slim HB9 potential. I emailed her (didn't have her number), expressed interest, she had compliments for my longer hair as well. She said she was engaged and couldn't see me. Later, when i nonchalantly pressed for the wedding date, she said she had called it off. (Hmmm...all a fabrication to make me regret not sticking with her?). So i gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited several months before emailing her today. I made it clear i wanted to pursue her again and conveyed sexual designs, while throwing in some push-pull. I asked her for her number and she gave it to me in her reply - it was the first thing she wrote. Then she wrote "Don't call anytime soon, but that way you have it". She then said she would be reluctant to get into a sexual relationship given that she couldn't trust my intentions. (She does have a healthy sex drive and is very open about it).

Obvious Question: Is "Don't call anytime soon" just an Anti-Slut Defense and she does want to hear from me soon or do you think she really wants me to wait? If i called her tonight or tomorrow, would she be offended or not cool with it?

OK. This situation has been resolved. I emailed her a three sentence email stating that i understood and accepted her decision not to proceed and i agreed that it was best to leave things be.

No more gaming women from the past. Time to meet new women. More appropriate women.
