"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

i met some girl yesterday at a little gathering of no more then 6 of us. we talked and got to know eachother but never had actual 1 on 1 time and i didn't want to pressure her into anything. however when we were leaving...her and her friend left first and then as we were leaving i talked to the girl that lives in the house which is a friend of mine to talk to her and try to give me a hook up.

She was giving me signs throughout the night, eye contact, stealing looks and laughing when i was.

How should i follow up, just play this by ear and see what happens? advice!

I have what seems like a thousand of these brush encounters every year... and what I've learned finally is that if you've never met her before, and you still haven't met her after hanging out in a group of 6 people... and she didn't say anything to you at last meeting and you didn't say anything to her... then chances are things will stay the way they were before you met...

I don't wanna be harsh, but I've been in so many of those situations where yes the girl looks at me and I look at her... but that doesn't mean anything if you don't get a contact... like a phone number etc...

hopefully your friend will try some magic and give you a hook up... you can work from there... good luck on that one

lol. you probably already found the DJ bible (top right hand corner link). it's got all you need.

if i were in your situation, i'd just ask your friend to do another get-together.. maybe this time with more people.. ask the girl if she wants to step outside for some air/cig and u'll have space to game. otherwise, sit right on the couch. i dunno. if ur good friends with this friend, that should be no prob to organize.

or just have her arrange some small hang out.

*shrugs* it all sounds sorta high-school-ish, no?

next time, though, get her #. it avoids all this.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
