Using rebuttal after a rejection, anything other than a yes is a rejection, is pointless. It doesn't matter what you say, it shows that you're interested and you probably lost at that point.
Times have changed... Using rebuttals will rarely if ever work. Just not responding and asking them out a week later is a much better strategy now.
If she was really interested then she wouldn't test you. Women don't 'test men by pretending to flake or be busy' they test us through normal conversations.
You see her in real life scenarios anyways. Social circle game is easy, just stick to playful flirting in group situations. Others will catch on and recommend you/ask questions.

Just saw that you did exactly what I would have done, not responded and waited a few days/a week later. Now if she actually shows up is the real indication of interest. Don't get ahead of yourself.
