"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hi,

Anyone here ever encounter a girl who shows interest but doesn't give you her number? If so, how did you deal with it?

I recently met a really nice girl and after almost 2 weeks of talking to her on msn (yeah she likes to chat like crazy) I still don't have her number.

I've only asked twice and she said not yet. I haven't really shown that I care to much to have her number. I told her that I'm in no rush so I don't care. She told me that she didn't give her last boyfriend her number right away. So that makes me think she is trying to start the same thing with me.

Any suggestions on how I should handle this girl? I've already blocked her from msn for a while. I'm just sick of wasting my time chating with her on msn. chating sucks. She loves to chat and tell me everything.

I've never had a problem getting a girls number before. I think this girl is DJing me! dirty little bi-cth! :) either that or she is just an attention *****.

“The 22 Psychological Triggers That Make Women Chase You… Starting Tonight”

Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules.  Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.

If she liked you she would give you her number. There isn't any maybe here.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Why should she give you her number? She's satisfied in knowing that she can chat with you online for weeks at a time. Face it, women who are truly interested will make themselves available to you, this one won't even let you call her.

she came online again to chat... and started going on and on about something..

so I completely ignored everything she said and interupted by asking for her number

She send me an email with her cell phone and her home phone.

Basically, I just made up my mind that I wasn't going to take her seriously and next her if she continued her ways.

The fact is this girl does like me and we do get along very well. She was just being stupid.

I don't plan to call her for another week and I won't be online that much... just too damn busy.

What you have suggested is not true in this case. You need to develop a raport with a girl first. Sometimes it just takes longer. The important thing is to never let it go into the friends zone.

Wake up and smell the coffee. She is just playing with you and having a good time at it. Or, she is married or has a BF but is using you for extra attention.

Either way, forget about her.

Actaully Francisco is right in this situation. The only smart thing you did in this situation was you put her IM on block when you realized it was a no win situtation for you. Women aren't looking for guys who "take it slow" or "get to know them better". They want alpha males who take control and then walk away when they don't get what they want.

Your first mistake was chatting with her through IM. You're her IM buddy. You completely gave away all your power when you asked for her number the second time. Let's for the sake of the argument say that this girl does give you her number then what? Get ready to jump through even more hoops. How long do you think she's gonna make you wait to get her on a date? How bout a FC?

Big mistake: you asked twice for the number
Absolute sign of no interest: she said no twice

If she really was interested in you she would have given you her number. I've met a lot of girls onlnie who told me in conversation that they "didnt give out their number over the net" but when I asked for some reaosn they made an exception. Why? cuz they were interested in me. Pursue her if you must but the chances of anything happening is slim to none.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

After she refused the first time...you should have gone into complete silence for 2 seconds, then widened your eyes while looking her dead in the eye, immediately asking with complete seriousness:

Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a b!tch?

...followed by this WTF expression on your face.

Did none of you read what I wrote?

I have her number now

I have her home number and her cell phone number.

I would also have to say that alot of you guys are jumping to conclusions. The fact of the matter is there are some girls who do like to take their time.

Give them a few weeks at max... but you can't just next a girl for being that way. Some fo the ones that are not *****s and are actually good for LTRs will take their time.

Persistance is important. If you like a girl then it doesn't hurt to go after her. I got both her numbers on the third try.

You see she never said "NO" she just said "not yet."

Now that she knows me more she gave me her number.

A lot of you guys Next way to damn fast.

I'm not going to talk to a woman online for weeks in hopes to gain rapport. I she doesn't give me her number after two or three chats or emails, she drops low on my list if I even keep her on the list. If I haven't met her by the second week, there had better be a really good reason on her part and she must be hella interesting.

In your case, I bet if you had done your ignore/what's your number a bit sooner, she would have given it to you. I'm all for rapport but women or notorious for settling for online pen pal type romances, I don't have time for that.

Good job in finally getting her number by the way.

I'm very hesitant to give out my phone number to anyone online. You can't see the person and aren't able to get that "first impression" vibe from them that you are if they ask for your number in person.

Perhaps she was hesitant because she wasn't convinced you weren't some kind of nut case or freak.

Things sometimes work a bit differently online, and this is one of those things.

The thing is I'm just responding to her messages.. I'm not really showing interest.

A girl who send emails and sends msn messages to you on her own accord is showing interest.

One of the questions I have.. and I think it would be a good topic for discussion is:

Do quality women (the ones that are good for LTRs) take more time to pursue?

The reason I ask this is that I've noticed that my DJ skills work really well on hot girls but they don't work on the women who are, with lack of a better word, “wholesome”.

I find that I have to tone it down a bit for the good girls.

The reason I say this is that I've noticed that the good girls don't put you through **** tests. Furthermore, the good girls are not little princesses. When that is a case you don’t have to put forth your entire game. In fact you have to tone it down a lot.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
