What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Another way to look at it, she failed his shyt test and he didn't spend a dime on her I consider that a win. Imagine how much money you would save if most women operated within 2 the minute frame

^^What was the shyt test? That she refused to dine in an upscale restaurant wearing casual (frumpy) attire?

My read on the sitch after listening to podcast was she left because she felt (and was) deceived. He told her to dress casualty as it was a casual restaurant when in fact it was an upscale restaurant....

Did they even meet? It sounded like she left immediately upon discovering what type of restaurant it was before she even went inside.

That's wasn't a test, it was a clueless guy who didn't know what dress code the restaurant had.

Did you even try to read the content she posts? Because if you did you'd notice a pattern.

"I ended up in the middle of a shoot out on first date"
"Reasons I will never live with a man again"
"First date ends in a gun fight with a drug dealer"
"I was raised by a pick me"
"Have you ever been accused of weaponizing your tears?"
"On my way to turn in my divorce papers. Such an overwheling day I saw a rainbow!"
"MY HUSBAND COMMITTED MORTGAGE FRAUD"
"fIRST DATE LASTED LESS THAN 2 MINUYTES"

so on and so forth.

She has a mental illness and it manifests in her being a victim. Reading titles on that tiktok is a major red flag in itself.

I have no idea what he was trying to accomplish.

He tells her to dress down and then takes her to an upscale restaurant.

She had every right to bail on him asap.
I think communication gets translated differently between men & women. I've learned it is not clear cut as we are led to believe.

From guy-speak I believe he told her to dress casually, not dress down.
Telling a woman to dress down sounds ridiculous from a male point of view.
The idea of dressing casually in her mind got translated to dressing down in girl-speak.
Not hearing the other side of the story from his point of view leaves out 50% of details. The restaurant could've been Ruth Chris Steakhouse for all we know or a even a Brazilian Churrasco. Wearing a Tuxedo or a Suit & Tie and formal gown sounds absurd here.
But in her mind, she assumed these places have a dress code and she dressed below causal (frumpy).

Overall it's just bad communication from both parties.

Call the old lady old school but a sensible woman must always understand how to dress appropriately. Fewer & fewer women learn that skillset in today's day & age.

Appropriate dressing also means a woman needs to have some outfits that are versatile, and can be appropriate in a range of environments. Finally its always better to be overdressed rather than underdressed.

Too many young women these days think Doc Martins, baggy Old Navy jeans and a midriff exposing tank top qualifies as "casual".... um, no, that's mall hang out teeny bopper attire.

Much better to wear a fit & flare short dress with boots, heels or sandals. Think sporty tennis dress or an Izod or polo knit shirtdress. Far more versatile than the teeny bopper look.

But often chicks don't get taught this at home, or if they are taught at home, they may reject that lesson.....until they learn the hard way that they look slouchy or slovenly or inappropriately dressed for the venue or date or activity. And they feel self conscious as a result....that whips them into shape faster than anything else.

I think I have to side with the chick on this. She was told to dress like a lounge day at home.

I think that if you go on a first date you should make a good first impression, if she didn't know where they were going that's on BOTH, perosnally I would never take a girl to a fancy place for a first date unless it's a prime Brittney Spears

Women in North America by and large have a terrible sense of style. They buy spandex pants from Lululemon and Alo and wear them every wear thinking that they look sexy. In reality, they look trashy and lazy.

She should have already known this dude was a simp by the fact he was taking her to a fancy restaurant on a first date.

Guess she was insulted enough to skip out on a free meal.

But make no mistake the dude took 2 L's.

One for setting this date up in the first place and the second for being dumb enough to play stupid games to win stupid prizes.

You have developed this theory based on what? A clickbait Tik Tok video from some random girl on the internet? Who knows if the anecdote is not distorted or downright made up?

Let's just say with the state of most guys in the dating pool, this is extremely believable and very likely.

Have heard enough anecdotes and stories from enough women and acuaintances to know this stuff happens regularly.

Which is why I find it so easy to get dates online...it's like your competition are idiots.

Your competition are idiots but so are most women on dating apps. The universe has a way of balancing things out.
