"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I'll try and keep this short:

Went out Friday night alone.

Ended up getting very friendly with a girl in the bar who then proceeded to come on really strong.
Bit of making out etc but she explained that she was in the process of coming out of a tricky relationship.

She was with a group of friends who all seemed nice and friendly. Got chatting to one of the girls there and said "I know this is a bit cheeky but if I asked would you give me your number".

She says "well, yes it is a bit cheeky"

So I say "Look, no problem, you just seemed like a nice person etc"

She then proceeds to give me her number anyway.

I text the original girl I had met on Saturday and she confirms that she is not really interested in hooking up at the moment because of her situation - that's fine - I wished her all the best.

My question is: How to proceed with Girl 2......should I proceed with girl 2......obviously they are friends and it will be mentioned. Is it a bit unethical or should I not worry.

So what's up?

RENISE
Eh.

TED
Great. Great.

So listen, uh, I was wondering if maybe you
wanted to go to the prom you know, with
me.

Renise looks unenthused.

TED
...Or NOT... It's no big deal, whatever I mean, if you
want.

RENISE
See, the thing is, I heard a rumor that
this guy I like was gonna ask me.

TED
Uh-huh.

RENISE
Yeah, so...I'm gonna wait and see what
happens there...But that sounds great,
yeah.

Ted nods, confused.

TED
Okay.

So is that a yes or a no?

RENISE
I think I was very clear, Ted. If
everything else falls apart, maybe.

Renise throws down her butt and storms off.

TED
I'm gonna hold you to that.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
