You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
Thinking of popping the big question? :cheer:mpimpin said:Any of you guys/gals gotten married rather young? I would like to hear how its working out for you or what happened etc.
What kind of things to consider etc. before taking that step.
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Did I close someone's thread? aww don't crybelividere said:Another thread about getting married to early I say close!!!!
Oh wait I dont have the administrative authority to close threads based on my own opinion as I'm not a mod.
Seriously mpimpin doing a search would be easy. If you are going to be closing threads on principle you should not be starting threads that would be closed on the same principle.
Why the $%$ am I even on this site anymore?

1) I'm a Christian, I believe in the Christian way.
2) I want a family.
3) I love my fiance.
4) I am attracted to my fiance.
5) We get along very well, we deal with things efficiently and effectively.
6) We respect and trust each other.
7) Our families like each other.
8) I enjoy it. We do alot together. We like some of the same goofy stuff.
9) For some reason, my dumb humor makes her laugh all the time.
Now, like any guy (RTomassi included), I've love to fukk every girl I saw until the day I die. But, I value this relationship more than that. When the temptation to cheat would come up, all I could think about was her.
I've had my rounds with women, I've been with 18 girls. And many of those were when I was a BIG AFC. Sosuave helped alot with that, and opened a door for me. Do I wish I had done a little more (as in, fukked a few more hors)? Probably. Would I trade in this relationship for it? H*ll, no.
There you have it.

I agree that age has little to do with the chance of success of a marriage. If anyone defers from marrying at an early age yet goes into a marriage later with the same faulty expectations why would anything change? It's not the age of the people, it's their mentality.ketostix said:I think there's just as many risks marrying at an older age (say late 20's-early 30's and on) and marrying an older woman (say late 20's and older) as there is marrying young. I really believe most of the "quality" end up getting married by their mid-20's. I think most men should weigh their circumstances and not place an arbitrary age/number on it. I just think most men, not all of course, will find their best prospects by the time their in their mid-late 20's.
Aww you've actually closed a thread of mine.mpimpin said:Did I close someone's thread? aww don't cry
and Yes I did multiple searches and read many previous posts. With this thread I was trying to focus specifically on younger marriages directly rather then marriage in general.
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
