There's a girl at my new job that I'm training with. We're spending 6 hours a day together and I'm wondering if I'm onto something. Before you flip out about pursuing a coworker, this is a stop gap job that I am quitting in a week or so as I have a much better offer with another company beginning on 9/19. Will have about 6 shifts left at this place.
Puerto Rican, 23 with a kid and lives with the father, but is a flirt. Seen her feign interest when interacting with customers pretty well in order to sell more and I told her she'd make a good bartender, and that she'd "probably got a lot of free drinks back in the day." Lots of eye contact, laughter, little bit of "accidental" arm on arm, relationship talk (been with her baby father since shes 15..BORING). The thing that peaked my interest is a lot of personal questions she's asking. "Where does your family live?" "Do you ever want kids?" "What kind of car do you drive?" as she picks up my keys, compliments my shoes. Lot of questions about my 2015 trip to Europe. Latina girls are generally nicer and she is playful with other coworkers, but I am so used to flaky girls who want to be pursued 98% of the interaction and don't give 2 f's about who you are that I might perceive this as interest when its not.
Gonna see her tomorrow morning. Next week during one of my last shifts I might invite her to a weekend pool party at my apartment. Anticipate her saying no because she's got a 2 year old and lives with this dude, but she may counter with something else. Upping the c&f so that I might be able to sneak in the back door with "this bad boy a-hole I worked with for 3 weeks" game. Anyone pulled this off before? More signs to look for before going for it?
