What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I agree with some of the advice here, BUT this still proves its actions over words.
Everyone here preaches that if a girl counter-offer's then that means she has interest. I would agree with that to a degree, but the bottom line factor is until she shows up for the date, until she gets naked with you etc, that is the only way you can confirm interest.
This chick has low interest. Would she be at the mall 10-20 mins before your date if she had high interest? Of course not.
Would she initial contact the day before if she couldn't make the original date ESPECIALLY if it was because of surgery?!!! LOL --- I can't believe you bought that excuse btw, unless she was saying someone else was getting surgery.
When she initially text you back and said she was still at the mall, I would've gone ghost on her and made her wonder.
You chased too hard and showed way too much tolerance for her shiatty behavior towards you, don't do that.
I'd put her on the back burner and focus on other girls. If she comes back around, its up to you if you want to try one more time to get together with her.
Like others have said spinning plates isn't for the weak, don't take it personally, but don't lose your self respect either.

You broke one of Buzzin' Frog's most important rules of dating.....and that is......
Never try to accommodate your date.....because most likely, you will have a flake
You are the man....you should set the tone and the terms for the date....never allow a woman to do that for you!!
You allowed her to flip the script by changing the date to her terms....in which you certainly did....she saw that you were willing to do anything to have a date with her....you were desperate, then acted hasty because you wanted the date.....so you changed your plans to accommodate her needs.....you should never do that for any woman...you will end up getting burned!!
When a chick has high interest in you......she won't lose that interest in you......so there is no need to lose your frame and give into her needs/wants....keeping your frame is what you need to do, because her interest will still be there, if there is any interest at all.
When a girl tries to change the arrangements of the date by setting it to her terms.....you should not accept those terms...decline her offer and set up YOUR date for another time.....because this won't be your date anymore, it will be HER'S...because you accepted her terms.....so there is a high chance that she will flake...there is also a chance that she doesn't have much interest in you....chicks will do this so they can have a excuse to flake!!

When these chicks try to change your date ......don't be hasty and accept their terms....make them wait and accept your terms on the day you want....don't give in to their needs/wants...show them that you are a busy guy and that you have things going for you...don't make yourself available to her by catering to her wishes!!

I personally think its genius and you men should consider trying it (though its dishonest).
HERE IS WHAT I DO:
Note: This is only for first dates (when b!tches flake the most)
1. Set up a time and place to meet her. Don't contact her until 30 minutes before you have to meet to make sure the date is still on. What her response is doesn't matter as long as its not to cancel.
2. Call her 10 minutes after you were supposed to arrive to ask her where she is. She will either be there waiting for you or not there yet.
- If she is waiting for you.. give her a BS excuse and say you're running late.
- If she is not there yet, request an ETA. Then wait for her to call and say she has arrived before you even leave where you are. Once she has arrive say you are running late.
The entire point of this system is to not get off your a*s to meet a girl until she is at the place you are supposed to meet her. Its easier to make up a BS excuse for being late than to waste your time showing up and getting flaked on.
So there you have it men: PlayHer Man's "anti-flake" system. Enjoy..
chics flake all the time. I never...ever....ever....set up a first date doing something that I don't already want to be doing. I always scope my week out and find an event I'd like to be at anyway so if she flakes, i'm still being productive and will most likely be around some people I know. And if she doesn't, well she sees me being around people I know and it gives me immediate social proof.
This only works if you know a lot of people....but all the more reason to build a larger social network.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Ahhhh yes. Was this a PoF or online chick? Man I don't miss those days. Stories like these really make you appreciate when you find a truly good one.
I remember one chick from PoF confirmed that day at xx time. I drove down 20 minutes or so to her area, text to say I'm close, and she says, like yours, that she is at the mall and can we reschedule? This was after confirming a couple hours earlier. Of course she didn't have the common courtesy to tell me earlier. Kunt. Needless to say I told her to f off and turned around and went home.
Another time I had something lined up with a girl at a bar, another PoF girl. Confirmed that day. I get to the bar, order a drink, text her Im there. 15 minutes go by and nothing. 20 minutes and I call. No answer. So I just leave and she never once contacted me. It was at that point that I just gave up on online dating all together.
As for your girl OP. Forget her. Move on. Never contact her again unless she shows up at your door naked. Girls like this deserve no time and energy on your part. Be happy you found out now.
And as I said, horror stories like these really make you realize how lucky a guy is to find a good one. It's a 1 in 1000 shot these days.
