Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I am graduating this May and will be making somewhere between 50-60k. I hate to use it as an excuse but money has always been hard for me because having financial limitations drew a lot of lines in my life that could otherwise affect me positively

for example: can't buy enough clothes to increase style, can't find haircut b/c have to go to cheap a$$ places, can't eat out or go out to drink as much and thus less opportunities with girls, can't go on road trips or spring break trips (never had one) b/c of money, can't ask a girl out without first worrying about money (guys, I am not super pimp who can makes girls pay for my sh!t, or even go dutch every date), limits my hobbies b/c I am broke, money issue always back in my mind, can't buy things I want, etc etc, you get the point.

But the general issue is, I know I can't afford a girl because of money primarily and school. Now some may say you don't need money to get girls, but to some people it matters, and all of my friends end up paying for their girlfriends 7:3 of times, and those ones are the "progressive/liberal minded" females. Imagine the conservative "you buy most of the time" chicks.

So in your experience, how did getting a real career and making enough money for yourself work out for you? I feel like my burden on the shoulders will be lifted if I finally can afford some life. I know it sounds like an excuse, but I would like to hear from your experiences.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I'll try and put this into prospective for you from my experiences.

After college, the game changes a bit. College to me seemed a bit polarized with women, as it was basically an extension of high school. If you played sports and the like, you'd have the majority of the women by far. For guys like me in nerdy majors ( and not much game), women weren't very plentiful.

Following college, you start becoming your own person, and the social status thing plays less of a role in the game. Your career is a bit more of a benchmark of your 'status', as women will pay more attention to 'what you do' in conjunction with who you are. Rollo Tamasi's blog nails this point perfectly on his blog, so check it out for an expounded viewpoint.

Here is the thing about money - not having debt lifts a huge burden off your shoulders. You should not be concerned with debt as far as women, but more about yourself. Once you are lifted from this burden, it will be evident in your personality which in turn helps with women. Want to go on a vacation paid in straight cash? No problem. When stupid things aren't a part of your routine, it makes life easier. Being able to live your own life is healthy for you, and is a major factor in getting women attracted to you. It goes along that whole stupid 'alpha' thing.

For me personally, graduating college meant more women...a lot more. I had a demanding course load, so not having to deal with it ment more time for the gym, and what not. I read more books, was exposed to more, traveled more, and was more 'social' than in college. Once you find out who you are, life becomes better and consequently more women will want to be a part of that.

You couldn't get laid in college which is shocking since everybody gets laid at the school you go to. Things won't change very much for you unless you legitimately step your game up, whether you're in school or not.

In a short simple answer yes.

Graduating college like you said=more money.

More money= you driving nicer cars, wearing nicer clothes, living in a nicer place, and going out and doing things that people without money cannot do, its overall improves your lifestyle and hopefully makes you happier and women will notice that. Happiness=Turn on. Money=Turn on.

Hate to say it, but like they say...money makes the world turn. And also its no secret women do not like broke dudes

@synergy, pairplush, ironcknike: I am glad to hear that aspect of your opinions. to be honest, I think actually not worrying about every minute little sh!t with money and not even being afford to go for a night out with a friend at a bar actually does bring me down a lot in terms of game, opportunity, quality of life, etc. Like synergy said, I am now just studying all the time and going out to the gym. I am reluctant most of times to call up a buddy to maybe even just go out to get a sub or just a social beer because the cost add up, and living with continuous pressure from money irritate me. I honestly believe that to certain degree, or to an explosive degree, having enough money and finally being able to have a life would bring success and happiness to women; it will be easier to ask a girl out simply because I know I can afford to have dates.

@gary, I thank you for the honest opinion, and maybe even after graduation I may not have any success, but I made determination to better my game, and I won't stop. It is possible that success may not come, but I guarantee you that making enough money makes me that much closer to success with women.

THank you for your opinions. Keep them flowing!

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

For the most part, the guys in law school were a bunch of dorks who couldn't get laid. Then they graduated and became lawyers...and it seems like every one of them got married within a year, typically to attractive women.

But they're probably all whipped and most of them will go through miserable divorces later in life. Marrying the first pretty girl who will have sex with you just because you suddenly have a good job is the worst possible decision you can make.

I was in a fraternity, so poosy was easy to get in college. However, most of the girls at my school were Jersey Shore types. Not much variety there, just bleach blonde hair and fake tans. They topped out at maybe a 7 in attractiveness.
Post college has me dating more variety, but now that I am corporate sellout, my time off is limited. I am pursuing online dating as the club scene around here is pretty stale...

It's easy for women* to get laid in college. They bang the guys who already are successful with women (naturals and guys who learned game), and act goody-two-shoes virginal with everyone else. College is secret society on steroids - literally 5% of the male student body gets 99% of the poon. If your not in a top-tier fraternity, athlete, or at least learn consistent game, you're going to be involuntarily celibate for a long 4 years

I didn't get laid at all in college. I had too many strikes against me:

1. Clueless about women
2. Male dominated major
3. Commuter student with zero social circle and never saw the inside of a dorm
4. Not into sports

Yes, having a job after college/university helped. At least I could answer the "What do you do?" questions. Plus having a house and car is huge.

Finally, I was able to travel so vacation sex became a reality  .

@bible belt: sir I can guarantee you that marriage will be the LAST thing on my list because I know that will tie down all the fun and goodness of life in exchange for stability and offsprings. I am going to have all the fun, going out, bar hopping, trips, random sh!t I missed out for being dirt broke at school and experience new things. your anecdote of lawyers sound accurate, since many of them tend to be hoity-toity and kind of boring, but I thankfully became very well aware when girl is trying to doormat me or being a b!tch, and I call her out all the time, so relatively well covered against being pvssy whipped

others, thanks for the opinion, I was pretty sure I can spread my wings after being able to make some good money, and now your assurance is giving me confidence. thanks

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Let me put it this way MIK.

One of the girls in my class asked if I have a boyfriend... I played it aloof and blew her off as I knew I didnt have the time for a relationship right now if I wanted decent grades and a decent chance at good jobs.

On the other hand my friends couldnt help themselves, stopped attending class and ended up with crappy jobs. and OF COURSE the women they were chasing left them in the dust. Never put the woman first. Sort out your ****, leave yourself exposed to women and the rest is easy.

right, the varsity athletes could make the girls pants melt off - from what i have heard and seen, they actually get tired of all the girls that throw themselves at them. As for someone like me who was in a male dominated major, and not great with women, it really wasn't what it should have been and truthfully has been a driving force to make up for it now.

It's not about graduating, and it's not about the job you get. I didn't get any @$$ in college (despite having a few opportunities to get some), and the year when I got the most amount of lays was when I had a job working at a sandwich shop (age 29) barely making 15,000 a year. In fact, at a time when I was living on someone else's couch, I was sleeping with 3 different women, one of whom had a high-paying job at a law school and was more than willing to drive me around for our dates.

You have to factor in a few things when it comes to attracting women:

1. How confident you are about yourself despite your circumstances
2. What kind of future potential the girl sees in you
3. The declining of options she has as she gets older

To point 1: even if you're not making a lot of money, if you're confident in who you are and act like everything in your life is still put together, a girl will be more attracted to that than a rich guy who's constantly showing worry or doubt. Y'know all those stories about the rich housewife cheating with the gardener? Husband's got more money, but his jealousy and lack of self-confidence kills the wife's attraction, while the gardener is, at the very least, confident enough in his job to have some self worth about himself.

To point 2: From personal experience, even when I was going through lows I was still doing things that would eventually get me the success I was looking for. Just having that drive was enough to make girls sleep with me and/or stick around. Remember: women aren't just about being gold diggers; some of them genuinely want to help a man make it so she can feel like she was somewhat responsible for his success.

To point 3: Women in college are young, and have years and years ahead of them to date whomever they want.... but then, they turn 25, and they start realizing they aren't going to be young and beautiful forever. So, that list of things they "must" have in order to be with a guy gets smaller and smaller every year. Things like "must make more money than me" that are on her list at 25 aren't as important at age 35 - by then, they're just happy to have someone around who sexes them regularly and makes them feel good about themselves.

Hope this helps!

i thought it gets harder for them at 30, that is, if it truly does get harder for them as they age, for me personally, i have refused to finish college until i get laid, which is why i feel more strongly tempted than ever to settle and lower my standards looks-wise
and i kinda hope that is true what you are saying because i'm 25 and i work at a grocery store, and still live with my parents

I'm going to have to disagree with just about everyone here.

You are about to go through the toughest period of ass getting in your entire life for the next 3-4 years at least.

here's why. in college, polorzed as it may be, it didn't take much to get laid. You were cute, you worked out, you were funny, you hung out at parties you can get laid from time to time.

You are about to enter a world where you are going to be caste down at the bottom of the totem pole. yeah you have a job but guess what so does everyone else who is competing with you for the 22-28 year old HB 7+

throw in the fact that you have debt, you haven o status and little experienc ewith mid 20 year old woman game, you are in for a drougt buddy.

as far as per power shifts, the power doesn't really shift utnil you hit about 29-30 if you took care of the **** you were supposed to take care of

Not saying you can't or won't get laid, i'm saying it's not "easier". not by a long shot.

the mistake college guys and aFCs make is thinking that getting a real job is going to now make the HB8 who is the same age as her become more attracted to him now that he has money. What he fails to realize is that teh HB8 who is 22-23 years old is in the prime of her market and will be sopped up by guys who are 26-29 who have worked their ass off and are at the otp of the rung or at least, higher up than you are.

there is no getting around working with no *****. you are either going to do it at school and get a top job like be a lawyer or you are giong to do it when you get out of school and work your way out of debt.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Yeah I myself consider the reports of "everyone gets laid easily in college" to be pure hyperbole. This may be the case in some small liberal arts schools in the middle of nowhere with no nightlife but even then you know it's still a small subset of the guys attracting most of the women. On the other hand at a city university where most of the students are commuters (including you) where once class if over most of them scatter to the winds (many of which have at part time jobs in the evening) it's very difficult to have a social life there.

On the other hand the payoff has been great: got a job I actually enjoy that pays down that student debt fast, a fun luxury car to cruise around in and taking my vacation in Vegas this year. Life is so much better post-graduation that I no longer give a damn about my lack of college lays.

Of course all of these boost confidence and change how you act, even if you don't think you've changed you still have unconsciously and women pick up on that. Once I switched to a better paying job that I enjoyed a lot more my luck changed, even with women who previously met me but never knew what I did. They just knew that something changed and they liked it.
