I am graduating this May and will be making somewhere between 50-60k. I hate to use it as an excuse but money has always been hard for me because having financial limitations drew a lot of lines in my life that could otherwise affect me positively
for example: can't buy enough clothes to increase style, can't find haircut b/c have to go to cheap a$$ places, can't eat out or go out to drink as much and thus less opportunities with girls, can't go on road trips or spring break trips (never had one) b/c of money, can't ask a girl out without first worrying about money (guys, I am not super pimp who can makes girls pay for my sh!t, or even go dutch every date), limits my hobbies b/c I am broke, money issue always back in my mind, can't buy things I want, etc etc, you get the point.
But the general issue is, I know I can't afford a girl because of money primarily and school. Now some may say you don't need money to get girls, but to some people it matters, and all of my friends end up paying for their girlfriends 7:3 of times, and those ones are the "progressive/liberal minded" females. Imagine the conservative "you buy most of the time" chicks.
So in your experience, how did getting a real career and making enough money for yourself work out for you? I feel like my burden on the shoulders will be lifted if I finally can afford some life. I know it sounds like an excuse, but I would like to hear from your experiences.
