One of my friend's has broken up with his girlfriend for a while now. At least three months. I'm starting to take an interest to her, she cute, smart and funny. I want to show my interest in her because one too many times I've played the "nice guy" card where girls would just like to be your friend and im done with that. Its time to follow the way of the DJ

I don't know if I should show interest in her because she used to go out with one of my friends. I didn't think that he would mind because hes stated numerous times that he was over her but during conversation with a few other buddies he stated that if he saw her date another guy he'd flip out and maybe even try to beat the other guy up. There are two things that I don't want to do, fight and fight a friend. Not exactly sure what I should do in this type of situation. Any help would be appreciated
