"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I'm not really looking for an answer in this post, more or less of "I can relate stories" and what you did in them.

Anywho, I had a pal who I talked to, went to sporting events with, etc. and he happens to be quite skilled at Hockey (got selected for all-star teams, has heavy attention from colleges, etc).

This season was perhaps his shining moment or due to the fact our team sucks he really stood out, and over the course of the season he started to change. He seemed to let all the attention he was getting go to head, he is very confident now, but sometimes I just see it as plain arrogance.

So much so, all he ever speaks about is hockey, how good he is at hockey, etc. just utterly annoying. Whenever I try converse with him too it feels like he's always putting down what I say with a sarcastic "Ooook" or taking my sarcastic jokes and correcting them (for instance if someone said "snowballs chance in hell" he'd probably reply "there are no snowballs in hell")

I don't wish to just leave him behind, because in the end before this happened he was a very cool guy but hot damn is he getting a big head. It almost feels like the situation where you have a friend who wins the lottery and he changes on you.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
