you should have just asked her right then if she wanted to leave, you would have found out right then if she was serious or not and you could have moved on

@ betheman & beginningDJ: This is the hindsight bias, the belief that events that already happened were more predictable (now that they happened and you know the outcome) than at the time they were actually happening. Ultimately, these responses above are just speculation. Reality is no one truly knows what would have happened. If you had gone for it though, at least you would have known if she was DTF or just being an AW. The biggest failure in approaching is failing to approach--the rest are successes because you took action.

A good response would've been to downplay it and start talking about something else ("I want to f*ck you." "Respect. So how about them Lakers?")

Exactly. That's what half the guys on this blog don't understand - if a girl REALLY wants to f*ck you, she WILL find a way to f*ck you.
