Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I walked up to this girl on my way off campus and just straight out said, very loudly,

Me:" Hey, how was you day."
Her: "Do you usually approach and talk to random people like this."
Me:"not USUALLY"
3 second pause
Me: "Do you got a problem with it?"
Her: "No, it just is strange in [name of our city, which is big]"
10 second pause
Her:"How was your day"

.
.
.
.
Then we just talked.

How could I have handled this better?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

You can't just go up to people you don't know and ask them about their day. It's one thing to do it at parties or social events, but just on the street, most people won't bother with you.

You'll have better luck if you find an "excuse" to talk to people, no matter how lame the excuse is. For example, if you're in line at a McDonalds or something, ask a girl "So what are you getting? Everything here's starting to taste the same to me!" and then take things from there. Or if you're coming out of a class, say "Is this class bullsh-t or what? I don't know how that dude became a professor".

Basically, just find a reason to comment on the situation around you. That gives you an immediate connection with the girl, and she won't be confused about why you're talking to her.

You did good kid, and don't listen to these guys, you don't need a reason to interact with another human being. You're wanting to converse with a female is reason enough.

Yeah, you may get that "Do you do this often?" sort of response, but they're cool with talkin to ya, they're just curious.

Example of one time:

Me: "Hey, How's it going?"
Her: (Some one word response)
Me: "So, you blah blah blah..."
Her: "Ya, um, blah blah blah..."
Her: "So, do you walk up to random people and start talking to them like this very often?"
Me: "Yeah, sometimes, why?"
Her: "I'm just curious, cause this one time... (Stories about old folks asking where her dad works while she's travelling on the bus, lol 'Why do they want to know where my dad works?')"
Her: "So, do people sometimes act unfriendly?"
Me: "lol, of course."
Her: "Does it bother you?"
Me: "Meh, everyone's different."
Her: "Hmm... blah blah, other stuffs..."

What I'm trying to show you is that you don't need a reason, chicks are more than happy to converse with males.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
