Found the perfect one, and blew it

We all have this one "type" that we want so bad. I mean, I'll bone all kinds of chics, but there is this "one"..this type of girl, looks and all, that I'd give a kidney to have. Oddly enough, I found one that fit the bill perfectly. The physical features, clothes, everything. We were in line at a restaurant in a food court of a mall. She was behind me and standing REAL close. I noticed she kept eyeing me..checking me out. Maybe was just curious because she is probably not from around here (lots of Asian tourists, and she is Japanese). I ordered and was waiting for my food, she ordered and came over and stood right next to me again..I mean RIGHT next to me..about 10-12 inches away...and there was plenty of room to stand..but she stood next to me. The staff was short on help so the orders were taking awhile and people were getting mad...instead of doing the same, since i felt bad for them working so hard, I turned to her and made a comment about how bad I felt for those kids working..but I said it in a nice way..just to break the ice..She got nervous and smiled and laughed...and then I blew it..I turned back around and didn't say anything..that's it..got my food and went and sat down to eat...like a big puss. She could have been an evil b!tch, I don't know, but she had that perfect look I have been searching for. So, how would you guys have taken it further with someone that seemed so shy?

If she's Japanese as in "from Japan" not just bloodline, then her standing that close to you had nothing to do with any interest. I have been to Japan numerous times and it's just the way it is. Personal space isn't the same thing to them as it is to us, possibly due at least partially to the fact that urban areas are so densely packed with people. If you need any evidence of this, just look at Japanese steakhouses, where you and seven or more people that you don't know all sit down at one table. So don't assume that she was into you and you blew it just because she was standing close to you. If she didn't say anything back, odds are she wasn't at all interested anyway.

You probably shold have done something more anyway.
