I just had my first practice for football today. Blistered, sore, and damn well tired I feel a sense of accomplishment making it through the day without feeling like dying. Seeing as the coach put me as a running back I think I'm in for a season full of running.

I think I can do the physical part, but I lack knowledge of the sport as a whole.

- Can someone explain to me in basic and short amount of words what each posistion's role is?
- What will my role as a running back be in depth?
- What posistions are familiar and what should I know about them.
- Any general tips for surviving my first season?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

As a running back, you need quick feet and balance. You should be able to lower your head, deliver a blow to the potential tackler, and then bounce off and keep running.

Of course guys like Self-Mastery wish they could go back to their senior year of high school. Senior year of high school was/is/will be the apex of many an American male's life. If not senior year of high school it will be college. I find that very sad.

Football is king in America. I find it hard to believe that a male would not understand the game, yet want to play it as a teen. If you love the game you should go for it. If you are doing it because of peer pressure you are making a big mistake. I think at least 60% of high school football players don't really love the game itself. They do it for stupid reasons like getting fat girls to like them (Reason #873 why I would never raise a kid in the USA). High school poisons the mind and soul.

I think I'm going to quit football. I have no passion for the sport, I think I just joined because of peer pressure.

"Oh man, your speed will ****in roxors in football, join man join"

Stuff like that convinced me to join. I was ill prepared and I don't think I like it.

I think another factor of my quitting is I have no clue what the **** is going on. Everyone else there watches football religiously and knows the sport in and out.
