Doc Love also said you should wait 5–9 days before calling after getting a woman's number. To me, it illustrates how rigid formulas can become outdated or fail to apply in the real world.

My suggestion is based on not creating too much space, not acting too cold, not showing too much interest in someone else just to create jealousy, and not assuming distance always builds attraction, especially when there is already strong mutual interest and momentum. Unnecessary delays can backfire, de-escalate things, and leaves too much to chance.
