I am in a health class in highschool and we did a little excercise. We were doing mental health so we did a first impression activity.
Everyone writes their name on a piece of paper. We are sitting in a circle so we pass the paper to our right. So now we have someone elses paper and we write the first impression they gave to us. so for example amy is sitting to my left. she passes her paper to me and i write "cute smart" or whatever. then we pass again and so forth.
Now my health teacher taught me that first impressions do last. So we should know what we are giving off when people first see us. I recieved my paper and I recieved 12 remarks that said my first impression was shy and quiet. My class has about 20 people and the vast majority said I was shy. This upset me but now I know and I want to change that.
Now that I know what the first impression I give off is, I can improve myself so that my first impression will be something good like "confidant, energetic."
That is the reason I made this post. This excercise was good to me so maybe it'll be the same for others.
