Well, I am about to eat my words, but the World Cup has actually been a blast. I’ve also met a lot of new people at these watch parties, and even just walking around with my jersey on, someone will usually start a conversation. Like most soccer matches, they’re also showing a bit of eye candy on the screen as well lol.

What other sport makes grown men cry like this? Makes entire countries move while standing still?

Perhaps, it could be too many vibe-killers in some of these Western first world countries. For example, Cost of living is just too high and too many people are suffering. You are really asking why more people are not excited about this? In Canada alone, food bank use is at historical highs with millions of people using them (ie and they having to turn back people because they've run out of food), full-time employed people living in cars / tents....when the whole place feels like it is about to collapse (ie Europe had heat waves that have killed thousands in France, etc...?), then these things kill the vibe. If you go to Vancouver, parts of the city are overrun by drug addicts, people living in tents and any tourist visiting the area sees that and it's depresssing.

But by far the biggest revenue sport in the world is the NFL which is essentially a money printing machine that dwarfs the closest competitors, the MLB and NBA by double.

EPL, the highest revenue league in the world is about 1/4 of the revenue.

NFL made somewhere north of $25 Billion last year. Next closest was MLB and NBA between $12-13 Billion each...EPL came in around $7.3 Billion.

Essentially if you put all the 5 major European Soccer Leagues together: EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1, their combined revenue is still short of the NFL by almost $2 Billion.

And the context; Cape verde is a small country ( 0,5 million people), with players who mostly or recently played on a level closer to amateurs than world cup winner like the Argentinians. And yet...they gave them hell! This goal, the equaliser in extra time after getting behind in said extra time was a shocker. And the beauty of the goal made it even more amazing. And ofcourse the celebration. Ran across the entire pitch, jumped into the crowd to hug his woman...I've watched this over and over!!

And boy ,do they got FINE women in Cape verde

Yeah my favorite thing about watching the game was seeing the amazingly hot Vape Verde women in the stands...I'm like is there even a single woman there that isn't at least a 6? Most of them were straight dimes.

That goal was amazing...and he almost did the exact same thing with time running out down 1 on that free kick from nearly the same spot...ball was labeled for the top corner again and the keeper made an amazing save to stretch out and just barely get his fingers on it to tip it over the bar.

These are African women by the way and yes they are deep deep into the hb8/9 category!

Apparently they have a very mixed population with a lot of Portuguese and African bloodlines...whatever it is that combination prices amazing offspring.
