"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

My burning passion for self-improvement had been waning over the last couple days. Hadn't been going to the gym. Neglected my acne regimen, and it flared up again.

I met a chick in the cafeteria today who I knew had a boyfriend but I was sure she like me. she says she wants some economics tutoring tonight for her big exam, I say sure, come on over.

I spend an hour and a half, with this chick in spite of the fact that I had (have!!!) a midterm to study for tomorrow (well technically its today, now) 100% sure I was getting my kiss close. She gets ready to leave. I had been kinoing her while I was explaining the cross elasticity of demand and tax incidence blahblah.

I move in for the kiss close, nervous, but still sure of victory. This chick is a 6.5 at best. And I'm Marlimus. Surprise, surprise. The cheek turn. She says thanks for everything and then leaves.

I kick myself for what was basically an AFC relapse.(Maybe I need to hit the gym, get plenty of liquids, and take some 'Pook' 3 times a day for a speedy recovery!)

But then I started to laugh like a madman. Because I KNEW. My game was steadily improving. I was steadily improving. I had hotter chicks than her on the horizon, things look bright. I laughed because her rejection was just the thing i needed. The fires have been rekindled. It is she who is losing out in the end.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
